6,3 windsurf sail on my medium slalom board in high winds, will it work?

It good to see people still windsurf, windsurfed from 1984 to 2003 and have mostly kited since. I was out at hood river and windsurfed for the first time in over 15 years, it was like riding a bike it all came back to me. 70 L board with a 3.7 sail, i was screaming, so fun but it is much more physically demanding than winging or kiting. What do you think of windsurf foiling like in the Olympics this year. Larry

I prefer the fin over the foil any day. That being said it is the best and most up to date Olympic windsurf have ever been. The problem was the judges that didn’t no anything about windsurfing. If they had waited for a bit more wind the racing would have been much more interesting, so I and wifey preferred the pwa live feed from Fuerte. Much more close racing

It's interesting to know which Fin you are using on the medium board with the 6.3 sail and also the mast foot position with this combo🤙

I used the 35,5cm Sonntag. Mast track all the way back.

Thanks. Cripes my medium is 90ltres. I weigh 68kgs. Now I understand why you weren't sure if the 6.3m would work .😊 It would be perfect for my medium board..😁

4.6m - 50ltre isonic the flatwater speedsailing setup for 28 - 30kts..can't sail in more than that..😁

What size board is your medium board and how much do you weigh?

It is 118 liters and 72 wide and I am around 84 kg right now, was shortly on 90 kg in the spring so hopping to get back around 88kg and maintaining that weight
