@@athenawrathI think poison is better with sacred sheath, or vs kushala. Element is better with monster that has >=25 element and when you have 1 perfect skill augment for each armor piece

in terms of damage? it deserves it, it has way too many options to avoid getting hit all together, in the right hands its an absurdly busted weapon so if it gets to the point where it only reaches its peak damage in the end game, like the bowguns, it makes perfect sense

The fun thing is that for endgame challenges you have to use all of the different attacks that it has

That's what a non Longsword player would say. I have been practicing LS on risen valstrax and other endgame monsters and it really really difficult. You have to stand in front of the monster's full force to counter and if you mess up once, gg you are done. Most times I get oneshotted for every mistake. If you play other weapon you can Dodge and Superman dive and still do good fps but Longsword without countering is huge fps loss. Don't yap if you don't know anything. Also it's a pve game
