Thanks for posting! I'm looking forward to trying this vt bullet in 6.5 creedmoor.

Good video. 6.5 grendel has become my favorite go to cartridge for hogs and deer up to 300 yards. I'm curious about the water jug. You didn't mention the distance. Thanks for sharing!

I thought that the grendel really just needed a little less weight to get that extra velocity. This might be the trick or a lighter weight all copper slug. I think the lighter weight is key especially in shorter barrels along with the higher bc's.

I'm hoping that's the case, but we'll see.

Thanks for posting!!! I really wonder what these ELD-V/T's look like. I mean compared to a 123gn. Are they the same length? If that's the case, then there won't be much difference inside of 400 - 500 yards. For the distance available to you, what kind of difference is there between these 100gn projectiles and the 123's? It seems 5gn weight difference isn't enough to make a difference inside of 400 yatds. Outstanding video!!! Thanks for showing us the difference in these two rounds.

They are 31.6mm long, 5.4mm at the base, and 4.37mm length of boat tail.

Drop is negligible but your wind is cut in half. You also had a lower velocity for the heavier 100 g ELD-VT. Drop is the easy variable to get correct. You can fling chevy short blocks into the next county and be accurate on drop, but wind is a cruel B!tch. Miss your wind call by 1 or 2 mph and you miss by feet at distance.

You cannot compare drop test if your muzzel velocity is not the same for both projectiles.

Why not?

@@Whiskey__Jackkbecause if one’s faster it’ll drop less….

Umm yes you can. Case proven, the 100 VT was slower and higher BC. Drop was the same but look at the difference in wind deflection. Higher BC bullets is more aerodynamic and his 400 yard comparison proved that.

I just shot some last week. My rifle doesn’t like it. 2” 10 shot groups @ 100. Every case had an ejector swipe.

They are fine in handloads. Hodgdon have done recent testing using a bunch of powders, now on their website. Have heard mixed results on flesh/hunting. Some talk of them penciling through like an FMJ. Haven't used them hunting yet so can't comment.

Maybe hand loading will make these bullets worse the while. I don't think there's enough difference between your handloads. And the factory loads to warrant anything great. Obviously you're on the right track with your Grendel. Hope your handloads do better. Shooting inside six hundred yards it's a wash.

This bullet wasn’t made to shoot 600 plus yards. It’s a varmint bullet! Why the negativity? There always has to be hater.

Sure it's more accurate, but it's definitely NOT $40/bx more accurate. I'll stick to my handloads, thank you very much.

I never grouped them at 200. I did 100 and 400 yards

@ my apologies, seen where it said 200!yard zero thinking you shot at 200. I love the Grendel!

I’m running 2750 with 107 bthp a little hot. I doubt you get any more velocity out of the 100’s. Still pretty good!
