Thanks for the video, N560 is about all I can find for 6.5prc at the moment. I have Hornady 140 and 147 grain bullets and it's promising to see your results.

Thanks for the video on the 6.5 PRC using VV560. I am working up some test loads using VV560 and 143 gr ELD-X test loads. Please share any velocity and charge data you have for VV560 as I would love to see it. Thanks for the great video.

Your 56;9 looks like a winner. BTW your videos are looking much better without the pre-video things you had in the beginning. Your videos as a whole have improved greatly. Too bad the Chronograph was not working, but good video anyway.

I see you're struggling a bit with recoil management. I suggest Erik Cortina's EC Tunerbrake. It works great on my Bergara Premier Pro 6.5PRC as well as tuning it to my loads to find my node.Good luck

I have heard great things from that powder, good velocities and SDs. A good brake will make a huge difference. How far out do you have to shoot on your range? You could set a target out at 5 to 600 and get your drop? I'm sure you know that. Have a Merry Christmas....especially if your Labradar shows up.

Yes in the winter I can shoot out to about 650yds. I do plan in the next month or so to get out to a 1k plus range to stretch the prc out a bit. Will be nice to start getting consistent and reliable velocity data.

Its impact point probably isnt odd, Its most likely barrel harmonics. Or, maybe its the way it is recoiling. The "uncomfortable" chair could be changing your body position causing a different effect when it recoils.
@RobsReloading3 жыл бұрын
Thats a good point. I have since built a new chair the appropriate height. Will see if that stabilizes the poi!
@andy3474953 жыл бұрын
@@RobsReloading barrel harmonics will change the impact point too. Ive seen my vary in elevation up to an inch with just a half grain change in powder. Ive even had faster loads impact lower than the slower in the test.

Hi Rob , great channel. Hey question for you. I bought a 6.5 PRC rifle a few weeks ago and I have looked at SO many sites and I can’t find any brass, dies or slugs. I am about to pull my hair out on this. I saw a few weeks ago how inventories went from poor to almost non existent. Do you reckon that’s my problem or is this just a very hard caliber to find reloading supplies for? I can’t even find a few boxes of factory rounds either...... never had this problem before. Oh well, any suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

Components are scarce in general right now. I have been able to snag some prc brass now online. Monitoring forums Facebook groups and discord channels are pretty much the only way to find things. Brass for the prc comes in stock almost weekly online, but sells out within minutes. There is a prc Facebook page and Johnnys Reloading Bench has a discord channel that has been very helpful finding components. Keep your eyes peeled and credit card ready and you will find some.

@@RobsReloading 10.4. Oh I thought I heard someone say a few weeks ago that there was another name for 6.5 prc. But I can’t remember what they said it was. Have you heard this? Wondering if maybe I have missed something on that front.
@RobsReloading3 жыл бұрын
@@freeandcriticalthinker4431 no, 6.5 prc is 6.5 prc. The 6.5 saum is similar but not the same cartridge. I would just join some online groups for reloading supplies. Stuff is coming in stock, it just doesn't last long. I snagged some adg brass last week, its being delivered tomorrow.

The Vihtavuori website doesn't show any data for the 6.5 PRC. Can I ask where you got your data?

That scope mount was only temporary. The scope and mount came straight off my AR. Check out my more recent videos with this rifle.
