Do I have to remove the water pump to check pump timing? Or can just remove fan and pulley?

easier to remove bridge then front coolant bridge that houses thermostats

How did you line up the timing marks on the pump to the gears in the motor before dropping the pump in place? The pump has a timing mark on the gear.

Tom Curry I did not notice any timing mark. I honestly didn't read anything about timing the pump. It worked out fine.

Tengo una pregunta con una camioneta duramax solo arranca con eter (star fluid) ya cambié el filtro y limpie la tubería que puede ser gracias espero su respuesta?

I remove the 4 bolts that holding the pump in place , did you have to hammer it out and use some elbow grease or did the pump slide right out, mines is hard to come loose , and I'm sure I have gotten all the bolts out total 4 x bolts 2 on either side , just want to make sure before I keep pring and not break anything Thxs for the vid , I took my y bridge off just to have the room but I see I didn't have too

nice video i removed mine but have hard time installing it i done broke one cp4 gear is there a trick to it

Thanks for posting a video. Just removed the pump on my LB7 and figured there had to be away to do it without removing the bridge or those lines. Cheers

welcometothefamily99 I just ordered a new cp3 for mine. throwing code p0093 more and more often. tried the ac Delco fuel system cleaner but looks like cp3 is weak and is starting to hate hills.

Did you change out all the fuel lines and the injectors, lines to them as well. It's my understanding that metal is in everything...from the fuel filter to the injectors.

Either y bridge or therm housing comes out or both

How did you lineup the timing marks on the Cam and that injection point

@@osielcarizales3479 I learned cp3 doesn't need to be timed. Cp4 needs to be lined up

Sounds like a fuel regulator is leaking but your statement contradicts itself, how can you be leaking fuel if your not getting fuel. :) Tighten down the line to specific torque.

I admire the way you recognized your mistake. Personally, I am dealing with an electrical gremlin and diesel supply pressure myself at work. I am suspecing faulty harness connector and cp3. Im thinking a possible rebuild
