I have played with both the 6.0 and the 6.7. I love the 6.0, the sound she makes, and the overall ride of the truck. The engine had it's faults out of the factory but they can be overcome now and not having to deal with the DEF is a plus. The 6.7 however is the most reliable engine I have dealt with. I have heard of some minor issues with the fuel systems but I have not had the problems myself. The key to the 6.7, from my experience, is regular maintenance. You treat her right and she will just keep on running. The 6.7 has been in the Superduty's for 10 years with minor changes for the EPA and I don't see it going away soon. Despite that I still love the 6.0.

The 6.0 was the biggest pile of shit that ford has ever produced. Right i I’ve the 3.5 eco boost! They really need to give lifetime warranty to make up for all the problems they got! It’s a damn shame .

@@seanee573 what’s up with all the people that have never owned a 6.0 giving their expert advise? I do miss my old 7.3 for towing and hauling. Great work truck but it was a rough truck ( not very well maintained prior to me) had it’s issues. Yeah if you keep a good winter addictive like hot shots in the fuel system they will turn over great. I wasn’t able to plug my old 7.3 in I cycled the glow plugs 1-2 for normal cold days and 3-4 for below zero ° F. My old work truck was also a 7.3 which I plugged in. It didn’t need it but it definitely turned over faster and warmed up way faster. Plugging them just makes it easier but not always a requirement. I’m not sure what my plan for big truck will be when the time comes. I really like the new diesel truck and the new big gasser but I love the old ones the smell and sound is fun. Lol. I’m cautious with 6.0’s but if the seller had shop records of it getting bullet proofed And egr deleted I’d probably buy it. Then upgrade the vvt turbo.

Project Farm did a video on diesel fuel additives Power Service/Diesel 911 is one of the worst if not the worst fuel additive to put in your diesel fuel. you should really consider ordering Hotshots Diesel winter emergency, or hotshots Diesel anti-Gel winter additives. 50 bucks gets you effectively 20 tankfuls worth of Diesel additive...... but yeah project farms video though showed that Diesel Kleen, Diesel 911, Power Service. all these products Did absolutely nothing maybe slightly lowered the Gelling point of the fuel a couple degrees but thats about it. i Own a 6.0 granted a heavily modified almost entirely aftermarket powertrain. its very hard starting in the cold very large aftermarket injectors. i have problems with diesel fuel gelling here in NC before... i tried pretty much every product Sitting on the shelf at AutoZone or advanced auto parts or even Napa. only one that works although not advertised that its for gelling is Hotshots every day diesel fuel additive. it helped a ton. it peaked my interest so i ordered their winter anti gel additive. havent had a single problem with fuel gelling since during winter. i use it on my brand new 6.7 i have as well because i know how bad it can be especially for a common rail system with the cp4 pump. i am not endorsed by Hotshots. just giving my 2 cents. its well worth the money especially if you're gonna keep the truck the only products out of the maybe 6 total different brands i've tried that worked for me were hotshots and Liquimoly additives. i run Liquimoly oil additives in my truck and Hotshots fuel additives. because the hotshots fuel products seem superior to the liquimoly although their stuff is also excellent. hope i helped you someway somehow.

kind of how it is my wife (made me) well rather she bought me a brand new f250 Platinum 6.7 Powerstroke because she wanted something more lavish on the inside massaging seats and all... but i still got my 05 Harley truck. granted its more of a toy. but i absolutely love it.... 700hp 1400 ft lbs of tourqe until a couple months ago. i Daily'd it for 2 years straight. only was down on me for a warranty injector issue for about a month. (waiting on core return) its never left me stranded. i'd probably give up a limb before i give that thing up. I love the sound of the 6.0 not just the Exhaust note and everything. but the actual sound the engine makes sounds like a truck smells like one.... all the diesel clattering noise injectors doing their thing. it doesn't give me much joy pushing the button on the 6.7 to start it. the most excitement with it that i get is idling for more than like 3 minutes with the a/c on kicks on the high Idle for a little bit. while to me the 6.0 everything about it is fun.

I have a family member that is a Ford driveline engineer (corporate), this Thanksgiving I was discussing the possibility of me ordering a 2022 F350 powerstroke Tremor and he told me to wait until the order banks open up in March / April and get a 2023 model. He stated that the 2023 powerstroke will have in excess of 505 hp and 1085tq. This is Fords response to the new 2023 Duramax which will have the aforementioned numbers. He did not say how much more the Powerstroke will have over the Duramax but it will be decidedly more. Also the front end will be changed as well as the interior (will be more F150ish) and alot of the current F150 tech will be coming over as well. So save your money, a new Sheriff is coming ! No emissions testing in the area of BC where I live no need for a cat converter. The blue spring in the fuel regulator the truck runs like a raped ape no need for a tuner. I have a welded EGR cooler the engine isn't eating its own sh*t that makes a big differnce too. its my opinion trucks went away from being work machines to more astatically appealing machines the 2000-2007 body style is my favorite mostly because its the farthest i'd like to go. its the best quality's of how a work truck should be and as nice as i want one to be. granted i do have a F250 platinum and also granted my 2005 is a Harley Davidson edition. but its still Very lavish interior in my opinion but has almost nothing on the 6.4s and 6.7s interior. but i prefer it. less clutter less screens blinding you at night. less electronic crap to fail. no traction control all the power you demand with your right foot is given to you. vs my 2019 6.7 plat. when i hit the skinny pedal its like the computer has to discuss if its okay or not.. i noticed in the 6.7 its significantly faster with about 30% throttle input than 100% throttle input. probably because if you give it the beans it thinks its an accident and its only giving you maybe 10-15% its max output. meanwhile my 6.0 700 RWHP and 1400 ft lbs of tourqe. i mat the pedal the tires start burning off the truck at any speed.

@@Graveltrucking 100% mine was about 4k and somehow has a perfect frame and bed of the box but there's bad floors and such in it at that price too. They're definitely worth 10k prestine but it's just is that what you want for so much

I got a question..should you let a diesel truck idle before shutting it off even after just simple daily driving it?

We plug our 6.0 in if it gets really cold. But it’s never given us an issue starting as long as the batteries are good. -Chad

Wanna hear a cold start come over and start my 7.3 without it being plugged in. It’ll take 3 try’s atleast in cold weather just to start and get to high idle. Plugged in it starts right up.

NEVER had an issue with my 6.7. I do try to give him some block heater action (when possible)

My 7.3 starting in the cold is like me after eating at the local 🌮 truck, noisy and stinky with little movement.
