Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) does work, however one important note: Most industrial SCR operators use either Aqueous or Anhydrous Ammonia. The motor vehicle process uses Urea (since it's safer to store than ammonia) and converts the urea to ammonia using thermal decomposition.

The 11’s it wasn’t a glow plug problem it was a two part valve seat design that they changed due to the parts separating and running through the engine and destroying the top of the glow plug and everything else . It’s a misconception that the glow plugs ever where the cause of a problem in the 2011 6.7 just a thing to think about any 2011 owners thinking that changing glow plugs is bulletproofing there engine in some way.

I saw a car lot advertising 6.0 trucks for sale between $11k and $13k with relatively low miles and claiming they have been "bulletproofed". I asked how he could sell his trucks for that price as I have heard that "bulletproofing" costs in excess of $8000 by itself if done correctly. This guy proceeds to tell me that "most" mechanics consider bulletproofing consists of only having the egr deleted and headstuds replaced!?? Does this even sound right to you guys? I know the guys there at Powerstroke Help.com do way more than that from the videos I've seen. How much does it help the 6.0 trucks just doing those 2 steps as listed above. Thanks for any enlightenment on the subject.

a real bullet proof does cost 8k and many times costs more then that. A real bullet proof is egr delete, oil cooler that is completely different from oem that costs 2k for cheaper ones, head studs, and many other things like tunes and exhaust system.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqK9qKqciMxjodk This sound, what could it be? I checked my codes and it was showing one for, “contribution/balance”, in cylinder number 2. I had changed that injector out and even took it to the Ford dealer to have it programmed with the right flow-rate. Still showing up and now it has a very noticeable, “wub-wub”, going on. Worse than the video. Do you think it could be a valve??

To get on you tube and bash the dealer is BS... the truth is the guy didn’t want to pay dealership prices to have his engine repaired or replaced. We(dealership techs) have known about several TSB’s that came out in 2012 and a updated tsb in 2014. To get on here to “ yeah the dealership just threw parts at it and couldn’t fix it” is horse shit! All dealership diesel tech have every resource possible and have had them way before the independent shops got them. When they are under warranty we fix them. Out of warranty we loose out from the cost of the repair. Plain and simple! That truck has 160k on it. It probably hasn’t seen a dealership since it was out of warranty. To get on here to make yourself look good by bashing a dealership.... that’s plain ole pathetic.

If people just read the instructions and used the truck properly. Drive the truck when it needs a regen, or if you notice it's doing a regen when you're driving dont shut it off. I have a 2019 and you cant miss when its doing a regen. Smells like you are cooking a skunk. Drive it for a bit then park it. NEVER shut off a hot truck, frest off the highway(min 3 min cool down). I have been driving these emission trucks since 2010, I have had no issues. Mack, volvo, international, freightliner, ford. All behave the same, this pickup dpf on my pickup fills faster. May have to do with it's small volume compared to a class 8 dpf. The first dpf vehicle I drove was a 2010 freightliner business class m2 112 with a Mercedes MBE4000 450hp. After a week of driving it I figured why it was having almost daily parked regen cycles. I changed how I drove it and I could sometimes stretch the parked regen out 3-4 weeks. When someone else drove my truck it wouldnt make the whole day with out a regen. My current work truck 2014 Volvo VNL730 with 500hp D13 has only needed ONE parked regen in 2 years, just over 200,000km. But that truck is pulling B-train fuel tankers(46k empty,140k loaded) so the exhaust stays hot.

Being boosted to hell to get the high output ratings in the pick-ups vs. the detuned versions sold in the commercial class-4 and 5 chassis-cabs and larger class-6 and 7 models doesn't help much..... In fact, I'm going to bet the pick-ups will likely run into problems due to the high boost pressures sooner than the commercial vehicles which are detuned for lower stress on the engine.

In my experience, the only ones that "delete" their trucks are the ones that don't actually need a diesel pickup in the first place. They're the ones that could get by just fine with a gas powered Colorado or something similar, but they feel the need to make up for other inadequacies by blowing a bunch of smoke, or as they call it "rolling coal". I guess they think it makes them look manly or something. Personally, I don't own a diesel pickup. My gas powered GMC dually does everything I need it to. On the other hand, I do own 5 Cummins powered Freghtliners. I'm no tree hugger by any means, but I do know what real pulling power is!

Bill, I heard you say that you didn't do the EGR delete and exhaust delete on that truck. Is it safe to say that removing those items, and running a tune, potentially increased the probability that the damaged valve happened. If I had a need for a diesel- Powerstroke, 1st thing I would do is drive it to you guys. I had 6.0 powerstroke work truck and live in VA, so my company wouldn't take it to you guys to get the work done..Ultimately, they had more money than common sense, and no exaggerating at all. They spent 75k on repairs in 10yrs. You guys know your stuff , Keep making the videos !

valve seals? While the engine sits, a bit of oil seeps past the valve seals into the combustion chamber. Once the engine warms, the seals swell and don't leak. It's a common thing on Chevy small blocks. This is just a guess...

Is 7.3 gas a good option for reliability and performance?
@TheBandit7613

The Superduty 6.0 is one of the best values in heavy pickups right now. Because of emissions problems, some people are leery of them. That keeps the resale low. Find a nice one, stock, without a tuner and performance exhaust. Into the purchase price calculate in the cost to "Bulletproof" the motor. I live in the southwest. We have Bulletproof Diesel in Mesa Arizona. I picked up my F350 Fx4 longbed crew cab and immediately dropped it off at Bulletproof Diesel in Mesa. A week later I picked up a beautiful diesel truck that's dependable comfy and economical to run. It's been across the country several times. In the east, I'd take my truck to Bill, the west, to Bulletproof Diesel in Mesa. The 6.0 is a really good engine that didn't get proper testing. Specialty diesel shops ended up doing the testing and now have a specific formula that should have been they way Ford sold them originally.

We have a 2001 ford power stroke. It just stalled out we have no idea where to start. Mostly the people tell us it is the fuel pump. But 6.0 liter we are not sure what to buy or what to replace to get started. My sister was rumping on the gas peddle when it died. It turn but doesn’t start

Why do they have these ridiculous emission systems when all you simply have to do is install a HHO on demand kit Which puts a small amount of hydrogen and oxygen into the intake and by doing so reduces the harmful emissions substantially.

This part of Georgia gets more rain than anywhere else in the continental US. True Rainforest. When it rains here it rains hard but it clears right up and its sunny again. Being 1200 feet above sea level most all Gulf of Mexico storms stop end here in the cool Appalachian air and dump all the moisture.
