I ride my hard tail way more than my full sus. Mostly just because my local trails don't really require a full sus, but also just because I prefer the more direct feeling of a hard tail.

I am so glad I chose a hardtail to start my mtb journey. It has made me a very "active" rider, choosing good lines, knowing when to be heavy and light, staying on the pedals. It's also crazy physically demanding trying to DH a hardtail. Ofc FS bikes are faster but I'm rarely the slowest guy out there. Having ridden some of my friends FS bikes, I'm just instantly fast, smooth and confident. I credit the hardtail.

I absolutely love HTs if you’ve never ridden one and you’re always been on a FS then Try one they will teach you more about riding than you think and because you haven’t Got the rear suspension the bike really talks to you a lot more I have two a voodoo hoodoo which Neil loves and a Alcatraz JB And with HT you don’t need to go to the gym your arms and legs do most of the work The downside of HT after a long. day your body does feel it a lot more especially for me as I do a lot of street. riding a hot bath and a glass of whiskey normally does the trick hitting the Oakley line on a Hardtail is crazy Providing your body can take it the sky is the limit

I’d like to know which Manitou they are using. I replaced my old Manitou Nixon with the only thing I could find in 1 1/8 straight w/20mm thru axel. A Manitou Circus Expert. Banshee frame destroyed in head on with PU truck. Fork might be ok......waiting to pull it when new GT Zaskar gets here....tomorrow ? If steerer isn’t bent, I’ll fiddle with the shims and make it more a trail fork than a jump fork.

Love the bike design kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube. All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
