I often witness that that it's not always the song that moves the spirit of mankind to repentance, but the anointing on the voice and music. U my friend ushered me into the presence of the one and only King...Jehovah God. 😪

Correction 1:00 the roman symbol should be V not I of course. To err is human! Which is good as someone recently commented saying that Jazzduets was AI! I can assure you no.

Hi! I think there's another little mistake in the note of bar 13 in 3rd reharm: the Em7b5 should be Bb7 sub, not C7
@JazzDuets6 жыл бұрын
The E-7b5 is substituting for the C7 as it commonly does. The step by step tutorial goes in to this in detail.

@@JazzDuets aw I'm sorry! you're right, I thought it as a tritone sub :/

My favourite part has to be fifth version where you go in to minor in bar 7 and 8, it's pure gold. Thanks a lot for this video, it keeps on making my day.

@Pseudify10 ай бұрын
@@Johncowk. I don’t know if this is what you are asking but here’s some of my own crude analysis. I think a major aspect that makes this line so emotional is first of all that high vocal F which runs throughout that chord change and then leads naturally to the F11. That F is the major 7 of the G flat, the major third of the D flat and the major 6 of the A flat terminating in the root of the F11. And some technical notes, that G flat major 7 appears to be (?) a tritone sub of the preceding C dominant (although tritone subs are most often just dominant chords themselves). And then from, there you essentially just have an ascending line of 5ths (descending 4ths) to the D flat and A flat. The chord progression itself is not too unusual. But the context of the key signature in which it is happening might be unusual. I think the big attraction here is that vocal F and how it fits within the structure of those chords which creates some interesting dissonances and resolutions. I’m not an expert at theory so would be interested to hear other thoughts and corrections on my analysis.
