There's no way you've read every piece of literature from Forrest in less than 4 months and that's not mentioning all the media he's put out and been a part of. If you're weird enough to lie in the comments at least make it something possible. 😂

More rare animals: Cats that throw up on tile when carpet is available. Horses that won't spook because of a plastic bag existing near them. Dogs that bark only when there is an actual stranger at the door. Husbands who notice their missing object on the table near their hand without having to ask their spouse about the location of said missing object.

I'm laughing at your comment, especially the one about cats who throw up on carpet when tile is available! I know that species VERY well! I used to have a hubby that was a "rare animal,"like yours and I feel for you Sister but thankfully I only have to worry about vomiting felines, and I am SO much happier for it! Take care now!

@@youtubestaffaretrash9258 If I may, you realize when you flush, particles of everything in the toilet are thrown up into the air when you flush? Particles of urine and feces all over your face, body, towels and toothbrush. Not only do I and my spouse put the seat down, we put the lids down before flushing to contain the mess. Also, so the cats can't excitedly fling themselves into the toilet head-first to watch the water swirling. They used to come running when they heard a flush.

@@ellishoke1693you could always go be a game warden. It’s a great way to get into conservation. You sound just like me when I was little. I've always loved animals, and I had little 3 dachshund dogs, a cat, and guinea pigs when I was small. When my 5 kids were little we had dogs, cats and guinea pigs and now that my grandson is grown up (we had dogs, cats but no guinea pigs when he lived with me) I now have 6 cats. I can't have dogs because the cats don't like them. Son, study hard and always stay curious. Even if you learn just 1 new fact per day and write it down in a book, it could be something like learning about the beautiful makaw's that have just started breeding in the wild for the first time in over 3 decades, then at the end of the year you'll have 365 new things you know that you didn't know the year before. Even though I'm older now, I still try and learn something new every day, and you will NEVER stop learning! I think you have a great hero in Forrest! You take care now mate! From a Grandma in country NSW Australia.

I started my life pretty early with animals but they were mainly wild Animals, In 1975 when I was about 10 or nearer to 11 years old our family moved next door to Yarrawonga Zoo near Darwin were my mother ran a large Boarding Kennel for Dogs and Cats, I had one pet though more a partner being my Horse that I was learning to play Polo Cross on . My Dad always being a bit wild from living in Arnhem Land and Groote Eylandt ( An Island ) and was a 1960s / 70s Steve Irwin Type he decided to go back to Animal conservation and Breeding by catching any type of animals needed by the NT Government and to supply EVERY type of animal needed by Yarrawonga Zoo,. So at nearly 11 I started ( Not By Choice ) going out every weekend with my Dad into the Northern Territory Swamps, Dams, Meandering Rivers that went from Fresh to Salt Water and we even went often into the Tanami Desert looking for Desert Bred Lizards like the Thorny Devil,s and Skinks Catch Owls, Eagles, Hawks, Buffalo, Eastern, Western and Central Brown Snakes, Death Adders and Massive Diamond Python's , Emu's and to many to mention. Of Course caught Fresh and Salt Water Crocodiles. I most of all really didn't quite like holding the Snake Bag while Dad would lower a Dangerous Snake into it Head First and the Bag being No More than a King Size Pillow Case. A Goanna around the same size of me were a little worrying and scary when they would chase you instead as were Desert Dragons and Frilled-Neck Lizards that liked to run over the Top of You 🤪, I also snorkeled of the Darwin rocks in the suburb of Nightcliff catching small tropical Fish to sell for aquariums. Dad and I stopped being crazy when I was 14 plus at 14 I had already had my 4th Job in the Building Industry Lost Dad when he was only 43 He was my Step Dad From when I was 5 which made him a young Dad but my only Dad. He Started me in Construction on school Holidays at 12 and Cattle Station work in Newcastle Waters Station and He Had me working full time at 13yrs old. I finished Retiring very early as a Heavy Industries Mechanical Fitter in the Shipping and Mining Industry when I was only 48 from Head Trauma From A Idiot Coward Punching me, I didn't even see it coming But my body would have gave in 10 years later anyway but 10 years would have made me a extra Million Dollars Huh,,, I Miss Dad and I am now 58 though feel much older, I would love to live as long as my maternal Grandfather did at 98 yrs old But I don't think he worked a hard day in his life. 😄😄

I am sure I am far to late for the bow fishing trip but last year I taught a lesson on those flying carp and their dangers to locals and damages to the ecosystem so this would have been an incredbile story/journey to get to share with students to spur the next generation of conservists. Looking forward to future videos and opportunities!

Forrest is a well rounded biologist. He acknowledges that illegal gill nets are the source of Vaquita population reduction, but he also acknowledges that it's not realistic to completely ban fishing altogether to solve the problem because many individuals livelihood depend on legal fishing in that region. It's hard to still find people in this field of interest today that are like Forrest.

I remember reading a dinosaur book that mentioned an old war book about seamen who witnessed an alligator/plesiosaurus sea monster flying into the air after an explosion. The writer claims he didn't have time to take a photo because the monster sank out of sight after a few seconds. My dad had that book, but, unfortunately, the part about the sea monster was only mentioned on one page, and I don't remember the name of the book.

Keep up the good work!! I have been watching you for a long time now and I even almost meet you a month ago at the Wonders Of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium. I ran into your camera guy😅. I love what you do because I want to do something related to outdoors when I am older. I also make my own fishing swim baits and was hooked on fishing and the outdoors since I was 3 years old. I would stand in a stream that came off of a bigger river. There was a small dam like structure to the side of the actual dam and every year white bass would go up stream and try to cross the little dam. I would just start grabbing them like a kid at a candy store and let them go on the other side of the dam. It would truly be a dream come true to finally meet you face to face!!

I would love to go bow fishing! I have never been to the US so visiting the US would be very interesting and on top of that contributing to wildlife conservation would be such an eye-opening experience. Also, you have greatly contributed to my love for animals, especially herps ever since i was a young and impressionable child. Also a year ago we had to do a presentation on our role models so you were mine, everyone was very astonished when i mentioned how much you have contributed to wildlife conservation.
