The great thing about crochet is that if you make a mistake, you can always undo what you did and go back. Just get some cheap yarn and a hook and try something simple. The first time you try it doesn't need to be perfect yet!

I recommend you to try and make a whale amigurumi at first. Because the whale is very basic and not very hard since it's in just round shape (plus really it's cute:)). My first ever made amigurumi was a whale too. Don't be afraid to start! Everyone is not perfect at it the first time!
