That sounds like an amazing plan!! We are working on our dual citizenship, also by descent… it’s a long process but you obtain a European passport as well, which is a bonus. Do you know which area you’d like to retire to in Italy? There are so many fabulous regions. Our families are from Abruzzo and Campania, but we like cooler temps and the mountains so it’s a tough call. We are definitely learning a lot 😊

Hi Vincent!! Glad you found us✨Most of the homes in Italy don’t have closets, that’s why the bedrooms have giant wardrobes for clothes. Some homes do have storage outside of the bedrooms in other areas of the home but closets aren’t really a thing like in the states. Thanks for popping in!

Hi Pam! Thanks for your feedback. You may have missed why we started the channel… we are searching for a home in Italy and we live in the states. There is so much information we are gathering, and amazing homes we are finding, that we thought we’d share on KZbin where maybe we can help someone, and in turn, we’ve been getting a lot of insights from others - it’s so great!! Sometimes we will Google Map an area to “walk around” and if there is something worth showing we will put it in the video. word of caution for Tuscany properties. Stumbled on this by accident working with a realtor who let it slip. water is a problem. It is near impossible to get through the bureaucracy and wells dry up regularly. City water can be an issue obtaining if the house isn't plumbed already through the city water supply. Many properties in Tuscany are on well water. Best to do your homework. minimum double the price of the house to get a reliable water supply in Tuscany if the property runs out of water and it happens more often than you might think. Along with the additional cost you will wait up to several years to get through the bureaucracy. That's why a 6 bed/5 bath house sells at such an unbelievably low cost. And Italian law does not require the seller disclose if the water is a problem. Buyer beware. If it sounds too good to be true etc. I'm guessing there is something ugly hiding in the shadows on this property.

Not trying to discourage anyone from following their dreams but moving to a foreign country often carries a romantic image in people's minds that can be quickly erased by the reality of conducting a major business transaction under foreign rules. Europe's laws and culture is very different than America, Canada, Australia etc. You may have covered that in some of your videos but for me I think it should be a disclaimer. Thanks for listening. Absolutely!! It all sounds and looks amazing but that’s why we are doing so much research. We aren’t going to make any hasty decisions.
