My pitty gets an oatmeal bath, an warm coconut and vitamin E oil bath... plus a rub down in it. But, he's allergic to (farm life). I got him from up north in the city, where he lived in a cage and although the cage is gone, he keeps a section above his tailbone that is always dry and flaky. He keeps a rash. He has benedryl and atarax via Rx but what else is there to do?

Our pitbull had its first skin allergies out break with skin allergies at about 10 months old.. Ended up doing a lot of research and found that make sure to not give them no table scraps and bathing them with a homemade shampoo with a 1/2 cup of vinegar 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar with dawn dish soap is the key and before they completely dry off mix anti inch cream with anti fungal cream ( athletes foot cream) and rub into them for antleast a few minutes.. never had another outbreak. works wonders.

Pit Bulls are my ABSOLUTE favorite dogs. I had my soul dog a blue pit bull, Kobie for 12 years, Kallie, blue pit, same age, passed within months of him. I have a little 40 pound pure muscle bully, Kooper now and another 105 pound pit bull , xl, Loki Im telling you that the pitbulls, are the sweetest, most loyal, most obedient dogs Ive ever had the blessing of sharing my life with. They do have skin/ allergy issues. My kallie ended up on apoquel the last year or so of her life. Im trying to avoid that with Loki, hes not even 3 yet. I only feed them fresh pet (its supposed to be a human grade food) or meat that I cook or give raw. Kooper will not eat raw but Loki loves raw. They have omega 3 fish oil and a probiotic every single day. They have never had a flea, they are inside dogs so Im at a loss. Loki spends a lot of the day outside so Im thinking it must be environmental. Chemtrails?? Who knows I put coconut oil on them after each bath Kooper is fine but Loki has major skin issues. He’s going to the vet in the morning. The vets just do antibiotics and steroids. They never fix the cause. This is the most informative video I have EVER watched. I will let Loki get immediate relief maybe a shot of celestone or whatever but I will try this other stuff before I put him on a toxic medication for life.

Great video very informative and inexpensive home remedies. A HUGE difference maker when it comes to your dogs health is indeed their DIET! I changed my pits diet from kibble to raw. And in just 2 weeks her skin improved drastically. She didn’t enjoy eating kibble and never would eat all her food. But now she’s so excited at feeding time. Jumping around and barking. I feed her chicken leg quarters, ground beef, eggs, and cod liver oil. It doesn’t cost a lot to feed your dog a raw diet. And it will save you lots of money in the long run from having to deal with those annoying skin allergies and watching your dog suffer through that intense itching and scratching. Good luck out there and thanks again for the video. 💯💪🏾

@@kellihunt3271 Coconut oil both orally and topically. It's a natural antibiotic that is healthy for us and dogs to eat in many ways. It will even cure a yeast infection if you put it in a woman's yoo hoo. xD I've read that it's not good to bath a dog more than about once every two weeks because it can dry out their skin and cause itching issues. I'm sure there's probably some products you could do it maybe once a week or so but I'd recommend to research into that more as I don't know off hand. Another natural immune booster is Echinacea and Goldenseal, as well as honey and garlic. Though, look into those and make sure they're safe to give to your dog before giving it to the pup. They're great for us humans, but I've never looked into it for dogs.

My girl pit had bumps just like that but worse. I tried everything including baths with everything I could think of and nothing worked. She was in misery with all the itching and so were we. I finally bought some Nu-Stock and thinned it down with baby oil. After just one application the improvement was amazing. It is a little messy and smells like sulfur but I don't mind the smell. I coat her all over till she looks like a mess, even in the ears and especially the legs. After a little while to soak in I brush her completely till the sulfur is coated on all her bumps but most is gone from her coat. I have treated her twice in the last four days. She is so thankful and so am I. I will give an update in a week or two. I am not affiliated with Nu-Stock but it works great for us. Here's to a world free of itchy dogs.

My buddy was hit with the double whammy this season. Skin allergies mixed with fleas is the absolute worst concoction ever. The flea bites are becoming inflamed and create scabs. Skin irritation from allergies makes it 10x worse. I've gotten rid of the fleas. Took me almost a month of non-stop grooming, bathing and flea collar. I've been applying coconut oil on his rear and from his shoulder blades to his tail daily. It helps somewhat but nothing major. The next day his skin is right back to dried out, flaky and dandruff and irritated. I'm at wits end. Oatmeal bathing begins today so praying it'll help

Quercetin is nature's benadryl so I use it instead. Now brand allergy tabs for pets works very well. I crush the tab and put it in my dog's food. I also like to use a couple drops of lavender, chamomile and frankincense essential oll diluted in fractionated coconut oil. I make up a spray bottle to use daily for help with itching and controlling yeast overgrowth, which is a secondary issue with allergies. It is important to add a good probiotic to the diet to help control the yeast. If your dog smells like a corn chip, it is the yeast. I am trying to build his immune system while transitioning to a raw/grain free diet,. I've learned that this has to be done carefully bc some foods lack taurine, which is what caused the fatal DCM heart problems in many dogs. Some grain-free foods had too high of a percentage in legumes so be sure to do your research and talk to your vet before changing food. Every dog is different and responds to remedies differently. I've learned quite a bit while trying to help my 2 year old pit bull terrier mix overcome his environmental allergies.

New pit owner. Saved him from the streets at 7 weeks old. I know that's too soon for him to be away from his mother but he was alone with a drug addict and in the heat. I've always been afraid of this breed. He's 10 months old now and I knew nothing about skin conditions for pits. Took him to vet and gave him shots of prednisone and meds. Turned out he had mites. Well, mites are now gone, but his private areas (parts of the ball sack are still red) We're still putting meds on it and trying coconut cream. That seems to be helping also, but my question is could he actually be getting a carpet burn or any kind off irritation from the floor ? Since he really has no fur in that area, it's always exposed. The vet said to keep applying medication on it, but I see little improvement with that. Like I said. I added coconut cream and it seems to have helped more. It just looks painful for him. I'm seriously thinking of getting him a cone so he'll let the meds work cuz he licks it. Plus, he's always chasing his tail. I read that they do that if bored. We train with him. Take him for runs and walks. Play with him. We distract him as quick as we can. He even has puzzles for his treats and almost every toy we buy him he destroys. I just need some direction here.

My dog had all the same symptoms as your dog.😭 My OEB came up in hives so my friend whom owns Pitbulls said he may have got stung by insect or nettles she gave me Piriton for him, whilst waiting to visit the vet. I gave him a tiny bit and he stopped scratching by the evening the redness also hives disappeared. Couldn't thank her enough!! 🥰 Piriton really eased him. The following day I took him to the vet they said he definitely has seasonal allergies.🌵🌻🌾🤧 They gave me antibiotics for couple week's. Definitely gonna change shampoo and keep some coconut oil in the fridge. Thank You for such an informative video. 👌🐶✌🤎🐕

I have heard that a sport mix fish meal formula kibble is a good start. I use a very small amount of unrefined coconut oil in my bully’s kibble daily.

My AmStaff has been struggling with exactly what I see at 4:42 & 4:46 the past year. I can't figure it out. These strange red bumps form, they leak clear fluid, then crust up and go away. It's a cycle that keeps happening weekly. He has dandruff too. Sucks because he always had a perfect coat. Vets just want to keep him coming back & trying different antibiotics and it never goes away. Like he's a science experiment for them or something & I can't afford the thousands. The only thing I keep coming back to is Pyoderma. Seems like something that can't really be cured, only maintained? Thanks.

My blue nose pitty has same thing the red spots filled with clear like oil/ water n then blood..they started on his chin then started to pop up in his top paws then up back of his legs n a nasty cluster on his tail..I brushed my finger across one of them on his back leg n it just popped n squirted me in my FRKN face lol!!! I was told the blue nose pitties are prone to skin problems too...he was fine in winter time then come heat n humidity those bumps started popping up on him!! I don't know what to do to clear it up n ease his uncomfortableness🥺😟😟

My vet suggested hills science diet. I had him on a high protein diet and she said it causes heart issues and what should I do for my four month old boy. I’ve thought of maybe giving him sardines ,eggs etc. but not sure what kind of raw meat I should provide.

I’ve also hears a lot of Pitties being allergic to chicken, and of course wheat and corn. Also, adding pumpkin or sweet potatoes to their diet is supposed to help.

Just got my pit couple days ago rough start so far. We were told by the seller on the way home that he "fell down the stairs." At 6 am the next morning of getting him his paw was inflamed and now bleeding. the vet informed us this was a puncture wound. The dog is so sweet so far. We have a 4 year old lhasa aspo havanese. It worries me the more I read on this breed. I know a few pits and all have gotten along with small dogs but seeing the boys interact in my home makes me worried and excited. I am hoping there is a link or a community I could join for training tips for my boy. I really want to do the right thing to protect my first dog and the new lug in the family.

My Pup Scratches a lot and the only relief I've found for him is the Nivea moisturising cream my wife uses. However idk if this is safe for him as there is no research I can find. He has no fleas, no skin spots, no rashes and I feed him raw pork mince with Veggies and rice. Any suggestions or opinions on this?
