Hi Keith, we generally call tomatoes 'cà chua' in Vietnam. That is because of the savor taste and its red appearance, but depending on different types of tomatoes that we name them differently, for example we call the cherry tomatoes 'cà chua bi'

To answer your request, I would say my favourite expression for 'I don't know' is I'm clueless because it sounds more sophisticated than I don't know.
