Hoovie had one too. I think it had a 4-6k$ a year warranty but the car would be in the shop most of the year and I don't think u could put it in track mode or it voids the warranty
@BasedGhoul3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I was going to comment that too but you beat me to it. Some of the Audi and BMW stuff can be out there too as far as maintenance and repair costs are concerned. Seriously, a lot of these exotics are awesome eye candy but I'd never want to own one new or used unless I was so filthy rich I didn't mind burning 100 dollar bills for the luls.

For those who are interested in the first generation of the audi R8, beware of frame damage. Because the first generation have a major defect in the structure right after the front suspension. That's why some of them are selling for so cheap

Awesome list! I love the kit car additions My list would be: 5. Maserati Coupé (Ferrari Engine in an extremely handsome car) 4. C4 Corvette ZR-1 (Fastest car in the world in 1990!!!) 3. 2nd Gen MR-2 Turbo (faster than Ferraris and the Supra from the same years) 2. 1st Gen Jaguar XKR (essentially a cheaper Aston Martin DB7) 1. Ferrari Mondial (like the 308 you mentioned but 4 seats and in the 20k range)

The 308 is not very hard to maintain but expect to pay around $5,000 a year to keep it on the road. Its about 400-500 a month to maintain. It isn't impossible to deal with owning your ferrari but you will need to cut out a lot of luxuries to own your ferrari. You can save a lot of money by doing some work yourself and it is alot more reliable than more modern ferrari's but prepare for that high cost

Difficult to come up with precise numbers, but I'll say you are in the ballpark. Could, hopefully, be half of that money, but only takes a little mishap to get where you are. I own a couple of gorgeous, old sports cars. But I don't actually drive them much. I more enjoy looking at them, and on occasions just sitting in them. A seemingly immortal, $800 GM Tigra is my preferred daily drive 😉

Buy Audi R7's, and hold onto them, because in about 10 years, they're going to start climbing in value. Now, it's not that they're ultra fast, and it's not that they're the pinnacle of luxury, but the body was designed with classical lines, lines reminiscent of many, many a car that have come before it, and gone on to become highly valuable. Audi R7's will be highly desireable, one day. So keep your eye on them, and/or buy one ASAP, if it's within your means... it would be worth your wile...

Good compilation! The fastback K-1 Attack coupe comes tantalizingly close to what I'd want for my next car. I just don't like the front end styling. Upgrade the headlights, widen the nose, put in a splitter then maybe I'd be a serious buyer. The Pagani at the beginning is a good example of what I'm talking about.

The challenge isn't to find an old, affordable supercar. The challenge is to afford keeping said money pit on the road! A set of front brake discs for a 308 is an eye watering $1K+ 🤢. For comparison, same parts for a Porsche 997 can be found for $150.

Amazing cars. You can actually purchase a complete turn key replica Lamborghini or Ferrari from "Beyond Customs" in Western Australia. They have a whole factory. Their replicas even come with Air Bags and are over 1000hp if you add twin turbo charges. Each replica has a 5 star safety rating including a safety cage and have interiors which are as good as the real car with either a manual or an automatic transmission. The cars are also certified by engineers and come both in left and right hand drive. They even have electric mirrors, windows, air-conditioning plus a premium sound systems including navigation for a fraction of the price of the real car. A lot of Arabs and Americans buy these cars and get them shipped overseas because they want to look rich but don't want to waste their money on a car which is expensive to fix and maintain. All parts used in these cars are brand new and the engines are re-built V8 and V12 engines with all new components.

Listen, I'm not going to get into my credentials, but I AM a car expert. BUY AN AUDI R8 NOW! Get the V8 MODEL! Audi does not make V8 engines, at all, anymore. Because of this, and the fact that they're fun to drive, look good, AND are affordable, they will only appreciate in value,. I've driven several of them, the V8 model is a blast to drive, and is probably my favorite V8 to drive, only rivaled by a '97 Lexus SC400, 5 Speed. So get an R8 V8, if you can, because limited numbers, and positive ownership experience, is EXACTLY what makes a car appreciate in value, and is EXACTLY what those cars have going for them. Buying an Audi R8, 8 cylinder, is like getting in on the ground floor. Spend $50,000 now, sell it for $125,000 5 years from now. That's all... Stay blessed, everyone!
