Sure a kit car with an engine that is not diy mechanic friendly , so what’s the use of a kit car if you can’t work on it and it will cost you a fortune to work on the motor, complete and utter bullshit car.

That is most likely NOT Aluminum tubing... Chromoly Tube is about the same price, only about 10% heaver at the appropriate wall thickness, and FAR easier to properly weld. I honestly wouldn't trust an Aluminum frame that I could actually afford to buy...a proper one is like buying a professional racing frame...

I used to have a Toyota Matrix XRS, never played with it, but it is surprising to see that, it was a beast in design. I did however, added a high flow filter, and lowered it down. It ran exceptionally well, and was pretty damn quick too. Just a high flow air filter and it became a monster. Also, I did add the best in oil to it, I used mainly Royal Purple and a top of the line oil filter as well. I kept good tires like Yokohama advan, and good quality fuel like shell gas or 93 octane at the local pumps. The car was my baby.

I have a 2018 Dodge Charger AWD, and yes, while it came stock with a 3.6 Pentastar at 309hp, (which is no slouch) I added a supercharger and now it gets 602hp. On the Interstate with the cruise on, it also gets 40mpg with a 729 mile range per tank. Nicest, and most powerful car I've ever owned by a long shot.

Living in Colorado where we get 6 months of snow, a powerful, low to the ground, rear wheel drive, with performance tires is the absolute worst thing possible. But all wheel drive, high clearance, studded snow tires, and you’d being running up and down the mountain like it’s summer.

I had a Gen 1 FFR Coupe for 3 yrs. Most unreliable car I ever owned. It was built by a level 3 shop, meaning a shop that barely knows how to build kit cars. I bought it with 126 miles. NEVER buy a kit car with under 2500 miles. Let someone else work all the bugs out of it.

I have driven about 800,000 miles in my life and 118,000 of them in this year and spec of the Honda fit. It is the most problem free car I have ever had. other than a recall Item which was fixed in 30 minutes about a year into my ownership. There have been zero issues with this car. Try to get the EX trim level if you were looking at a ‘19 model. The right side Blindspot camera and other safety upgrades and infotainment upgrades, as well as the sliding moonroof, are all worth what few extra dollars you would pay for an EX. I do all of my own fluid changes, belts, And my son did the brakes recently. He and I agree this car is extremely easy to work on. I did remove some of the plastic shield underneath because frankly it is unimportant to me. Since I almost never drive with more than two people, I took out the two backseats and put them in storage. They took about five minutes to take out.

I own one. The purchase price does not buy you equipment or size. It buys you a very focused car that is also a lot of fun, fun just driving normally, you don't need to drive like a maniac to enjoy it. Running costs are tiny. Most parts are cheap, some very cheap, compared to other cars. Insurance and fuel economy are also better than most other options. Little kids love it, they relate to it as a cartoon or toy.
