1805 is underrated. Most fragrance channels never mention it. A favorite of mine. Light, fresh. To me it's between AdG and Eau d'Issey.

Glad to see someone covering this brand. I’ve been a Truefitt & Hill customer for quite a while and have sampled all the scents in their shower gel form. Grafton is a personal favourite of mine as I love classic fougeres. I have to be honest about my dissatisfaction with the colognes though. They smell way too cheap and alcohol heavy and the bottles lack refinement as well. At 380 Malaysian Ringgit, it’ll be wiser to go with any good quality designer release. A couple of bucks more can already get you a decent Chanel. That said, their grooming products are pretty good and the barbers are top notch. Cheers and thank you for the video.

Wonderful to hear from you @Shankar and it’s interesting that we play opposites when it comes to the Truefitt & Hill line up. I’m yet to try out their shower gels but enjoy their fragrance’s (I own Grafton, Sandalwood and Apsley). As these are all eau de cologne they don’t last as long as a Toilette or Parfum but I enjoy their scent profile (fresh, barbarshop style, masculine) Great to hear from you; appreciate you jumping into this conversation

I do wish their execution was better considering the price point. Floris would be a great alternative with only slightly higher prices. Another historic English house with scents that complement the Truefitt grooming products perfectly. Keep up the great content sir.

Freshman is similar to creed green irish tweed. Apsley is similar to Terre D'hermes. Grafton is one of my favorites. I like how you can use matching cream, lotion, and cologne.

Been using Truefitt and hill for a couple of decades, love all their colognes and aftershaves. However they've stopped selling aftershaves in favour of aftershave balms, I appreciate they have to move with the times but for a company that trades on its tradition and royal patronages I don't really understand the move.

First impressions 1805 is my favourite first reminded me of hand soap but then a nice hotel Trafalgar, What a pirate would wear spicy and slight alcohol intense but good Grafton, masculine bit darker, nice for autumn definitely good for army or workplace Freshman, more bright spicy green Irish tweed West Indian lime- a better version of the cheap shower gel from grocery shop Spanish leather- bight spicy most personality I think of a old Spanish castle in the summer, statement making Sandalwood- honestly my least favourite at best smells like shaving cream and worst just sharp not nice Apsley- really nice grapefruit, I think nice for holiday and summer Clubman- sleeper hit very nice smells like a shower gel but very versatile most wearable for all ages might be my 2nd favourite

The great things about Truefitt and Hill is that they're classic gentleman barbershop fragrances that anyone of them is a winner. In your work environment I would recommend: - Apsly: Spicy grapefruit opening, but vetiver and musk in the drydown gives it an edge - Sandalwood: Citrus opening, but the woods in the heart and base give it a freshness - Freshman: Citrus aromatic opening with woods and musk in the base, awesome confident, fresh fragrance I would recommend that you trial on your skin as this will give you an idea what resonates best with you. Being that these are eau de Cologne, they don't have huge sillage but you've be able to pick up on how awesome you smell and those that come into contact with you will also....hope that helps👊🏼

Well at first when I got Sandalwood by TFH I was like is this Calvin Klein LOL so strong and I wasn't really impressed at all as sandalwood scent as I know how sandalwood smells like anyhow I'm still using it it's Alright, I did order 1805 today and hope I will like it better. I would recommend that you test Apsley first as this one has a unique DNA compared to the others in the range (prominent grapefruit note on opening, before a peppery vetiver)....I did a review if you want to know more: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqHdaWp3gcSChMU These are spray on eau de cologne's and are designed as a support to the face balms. I have matching balms to the cologne and use then in conjunction. Great to hear from you @scented Ayan. For being eau de cologne's these perfumes actually perform quite well (almost on par with a standard eau de toilette). Longevity that I get is around 4 hours comfortably with a moderate sillage. I find that they perform well in both heat and cold (I've been wearing them over our Melbourne summer and winter and to my nose they perform equally) Hope that helps!

West Lime has good top notes of Limes but then changes to a strong smell of geranium (?)that i don't like, the shaving cream Is different, the smell Is still limes but more herbal and dark, i really like It , same thing for Trafalgar cologne, It's like 4711 but turns into something different that doesn't blends well and i can't stand it

What is the performance of these Colognes? Doesn’t matter how good these smells most important factor is performance in terms of longevity and projection. If performance is not up to the mark then no point thinking about these…. Cover such important aspects in your video…

Yep, great question. Being that they are eau de cologne (meaning only 2% to 5% oils) they will never stand up in a contest against an eau de parfum (20% oils)....so if you want projection and long performance I always suggest a good eau de parfum. But as a fresh, vibrant burst of fragrance, all of the Truefitt and Hill fragrances are awesome. I did a more indepth review here on Sandalwood and Aspley. I’ve just bought T&H Sandalwood shower gel. It’s horrible. The scent is a really powerful industrial strength chemical like smell and it leaves a terrible taste on the back of your throat for hours. I was thinking of buying a shaving cream but this product has really put me off T&H.

I just finished answering the last question and didn't see this comment here @Mr. The Great.....so not a fan of the shower gel then!! I can confirm that both the balm and shaving creme are really good subtle scented to the point that I can wear any other fragrance (over the top of the balm) and it won't conflict with the SOTD that I have on. @@TheNicheFragranceCollector little update on both: The deodorant needs shaking before application. I didn’t know this. The scent becomes a lot more neutral and faint. I’d but this again. The scent on the shower gel seems to have calmed right down after several uses. It’s a good product but I wouldn’t buy it again. Nothing makes me feel as clean and refreshed as D.R. Harris bath soap. I’ve just ordered T&H facial cleanser and the cologne, shaving cream, a/s balm sample pack. Hope this helps.
