I personally farmed a lot of prime parts and sold them so I could buy the hunhow's gift pack and bypass the MR restriction on War (also bought it partly for the cosmetics, the chest plate is so dang sexy, but other than that I use the riv elite guard armour). Also I am MR 8 and have been playing for a few months but I have gotten modding warframes down (I have maxed out all the normal corrupted mods and such, only missing the primed mods as i am waiting on baro), but modding weapons still elude me.

That depends. If you know absolutely nothing about someone, if you're a host and if the mission is something like a raid that you have to burn a key for and something that can easily fail it's suddenly not as stupid. It's "something". It means a person has most mods and warframes at least, you can bet that probably he can put a working build together as well. He can still be a total scrub but it's like. And mr 0-15 can be just as easily.

i mean, i say i main Rhino and Valkyr, and those two are the ones i play the most, but if i went into a raid or something (R.I.P.) id try to do whatever the team needed, granted i actually HAVE that frame and that i have the slightest semblance of how to mod/play them. right now ive got about 13 left, and most of the ones ive played i kinda hated the playstyle, but just trying them out is fun. i never thought id play Nidus until i tried him, and now he's like my third most played frame.

One more thing you'll have to pay for unless you're extremely lucky or want to wait months, are catalysts, reactors aren't really needed but catalysts can change entirely how a weapon performs and turn it from crap to a killing machine (with the right mods obviously) and that's why people want to know which are the best, because freakin catalysts are a pain to get. Also let's scrap all that bs about there's no better dmg type, slash is hands down the deadliest of them all and works even better than the "appropriate" ones just because of how absurdly powerful slash procs are, a dread will always beat a paris p against any high lv enemies.

I can see how a WOW player would carry over a very narrow definition of main... but there are Japanese style MMOs with easy swap Job Systems that are essentially frames and they use "main" in those games. In those games, "main" takes on the meaning of player competences and optimized gear availablity. As in... "hey, cut me some slack on my bad tanking... I am a White Mage main." That said, his point about refusing to play anything other than your fav is valid and not the best attitude to have.

Hey you forgot to mention something But rather than myth, it is more of a misconception, me and my friend who is new to WF thought that prime frame is so much better than normal frame, since we see how normal weapon is just so much weaker than the prime version Yes since prime frame is better stat wise, but not a game changer compared to weapon, also prime frame normally is much more expensive so for new player it isn't worth it (except the part are easily farmable even for new player,)

I really don't understand the rank whoring. I NEVER ask a Mastery level. It's a stupid belief. If I go to a normal 20-30min void mission, than there is no need for op people. If I need op people, than I call in Alliance members or Friends. I've seen 21 mastery people whom kept dying like amateurs! It's not even a rare sight. I also seen newbies doing a damn good job, because they were super afraid and careful. Unlike veteran players. The warframe community is just to mixed to judge by such simple measures.

MR does not mean skill, sure, but it still does mean something. The higher the mastery, the more likely the person has better gear. Usually at about 12 mastery are people finally experienced with enough of the game and have the mods and equipment for them to sustain themselves in end game content. Not all the time, but usually. Some could also be as early as 8 or can be as late as 14. But you definitely don't want to be having a team of MR 0-4 in end game content such as raids as they just don't have the equipment to pull their own weight, usually, unless they were playing for a long time and deliberately kept their MR low for some reason but that's what you call an outlier.

I agree. While someone COULD be a noob and just have some odd sense of "gotta rank up asap" without actually playing through it, and while another person could rebel against the MR system because 'why not?".. Most, I'd say, are veterans of the game at higher levels because it takes so much time to find the right blueprint, use the weapon and gather the ranks. If you're playing without wanting to use a lot of money, and, of course, have something of a life, then the chances are you probably do have something to bring to the game through your experience. Does it mean you're amazing? Not necessarily, but it does mean you most likely have the mods, equipment, and experience to understand the game at a different level than a level 4.

This. I would only say that it's more around mr18. It is VERY rarely you will see a player that has no clue what he's doing past that mark., mr 10-16 can let you down very easily when it matters.

Buying weapons from the market with Platinum / real world currency on prime access packs bypasses MR restrictions so you could be MR 3 with a 5 forma Soma prime

Your opposition to the term main seems to come from a misunderstanding of it. The character you play most is your main, that in no way reflects your ability to play other things when they're appropriate. Just because someone says their main is tracer doesn't mean they can't play a healer competently. Instead of getting mad about it, think about it.

I don't think he's bad but I do think his design mechanically is clunky and that other warframes do what he does better and more enjoyably.

I would say that the rework for her failed to do what it intended. I believe it's intent was to make Mag more engaging and more powerful. For a beginner frame I think Mag is not very intuitive and that might confuse new players. I wish that they didn't make polarize like Nova ability because I think that she looses some of her uniqueness and that her play style not very fun or engaging to me.

I'd disagree with you, but anything useful Limbo could do Ivara can now do even better, especially with that Infiltration Augument that lets you go through lazer grids and use Syndicate weapons without procing out of invisibility. Limbo is now a limited support frame - pull up fallen allies, put small cataclysm on a defence point with Rift Surge on to allow melee defence or to cover up power spammers, stand in way of enemies acting like living Loki decoy.... Or you could make a gigantic Cataclysm, join random games where people usually farm stuff and ruin their experience by disabling ability to pick up resources. If you're the assholish type that is. As I was writing this, I suddenly realised Limbo could both cover up Excalibur (or Saryn) and buff his damage with Rift Surge on Draco.

This video is over a year old... yet I watched it and love it because of the very last point. MR doesn't mean anything, and when my frost prime did 81% of the team damage with over 1,000 kills in a 20 round relic farm at MR4, I don't think the MR 17 was too happy. Tough Shit

GeneralMetrac the soma prime and frost prime from twitch access is insane. The soma is amazing and so is frost prime, but the MR17 was probably grinding mastery or leveling new weapons.

I actually hate the Mastery locks on some weapons. I mean, I have all of the parts to build a Tigris Prime for Mesa (as part of what I call the "Sheriff" loadout), but I'm locked out of actually building the damn thing until I hit MR 13 (I'm currently MR 9 and have a long way to go).

If you kill a mob with...lets say a Vectis prime with argon scope and all the glitter in your Chroma, you might have a much better result as like with the Amprex in your Lootdaddy. The Amprex is somehow on point during the kill...So you killed with our Amprex- example twice as much mobs as the Vectis-player, but you have halve the damage.....But what, if the Vectis player sniped all the nasty stuff as a good teamplayer? What if the Banshee nukes nearly the complete maps and all other players support the Banshee with blue pizzas, energy dashes and mobbing up dutys? I'm beginning to realize how embarrassing it is for me to say I main this I main that. Come to think of it, becoming an absolute team player means you have to master all the frames. There's a difference between knowing how to use them all vs using one frame. Makes it easier for people in recruit chat that requests you to use a certain frame. And because of that, for the past 3 months I been working on making 'end game builds. This has taught me, every frame is equally powerful if they're built right. It was surprising to learn how I left many of them out just because they didn't suit my play style. But I believe every single frame has something to offer that we'll come to embrace sooner or later.

Switching from PS4 to PC. First thing I ran into was people shitting on me for being MR3. Just bought nidus bundle to give me a head start on more difficult missions. Legit healed the guy who shit on me after he went down after charging a napalm with loki prime. His ego was too inflated and he blamed me. I know it's an old comment but this hits so close to home lol. Just switched from ps4 to pc and didnt want to grind nidus again so I got him with the phryke skin. MR5 running a mission with 3 other players all over MR10. A synthesis target comes up so I drop a trap and we start scanning and someone comes running up from around the corner and deletes his health bar. I get on chat like "which one of you idiots just killed the synth" and someone replies "it was probably the MR5". So I have to reply with "nope, I'm the mr5. Been playing for years but just started on pc". Then there's just silence.

I though of it a "has played the game longer" and for me it means easier forma-ing since you have higher base mod capacity, and of course unlocking new blueprints

I like the thing about 'maining' frames. There are situations where someone preferring a build can limit what they do and how well they operate. In my case, I pretty much only play Volt and Loki because I haven't been grinding enough on my new account to get anything else. However, if you have access to more frames, use them!

Well, I'll definitely stick to my guns when I say that the vast majority of players that are above MR 10 are better than the players below it. As with everything, that's not always the case, however the time it takes to get to a higher MR means you've experienced more of the game, for more time. And have had more opportunity to learn how the game functions. Not everyone will utilize that time wisely, as not everyone learns at the same pace, but still.

Oh these were interesting to listen to, but I'd like to say that regarding ''I main warframe X and Y'' It's more about what those people enjoy contrary to them being headstrong aholes. I for example am what you'd call a Valkyr/Titania ''main'' not because I dont wanna help others but because the main reason I play warframe is to have enjoy myself, and some frames are just not fun for me(I tried most of them just as with weapons, since i am one fo the type of people who reads up, watches videos and plans ahead). That is usually why I say before head ''inv me, Valkyr'' so they know who I'm planing to come with, and if they tell me things like ''Sorry but we need Frost or EV Trinity'' i'll just say ''Np gl'' and keep searching. i prefer my valkyr but i love all of my frames.. they are all wonderful and built to easily take on sorties (how i judge if they are built right is their ability to handle, on lvl 100, or against lvl 100 enemies)

I typically use a Tigris, Vasto and Redeemer. I max out the damage and crit mods for all three and increase slash puncture and impact then give each their own unique mods with whatever remains. My Redeemer has some mod that allows its finisher to deal 60x more damage or something. This setup works pretty well for running and gunning, and taking out enemies with little to no effort, but if you try to play strategically you're gonna have a bad time.

Not because of invisibility bugs or anything (I haven't noticed any), but because she has the annoying habits of getting in my crosshairs right as I'm about to use an aimed power and stealing kills I needed for one reason or another (such as to keep my combo meter up). On the other hand, she's generally been very helpful and even an absolute lifesaver a few times, so I don't know whether to keep her equipped or put her back into stasis.

Maroo's basar or the trade chat is the main way (I think) to trade items. Mostly they are traded for plat, but sometimes the seller wants a certain item as exchange. But be aware: You can't just sell something for a certain price, you actually need someone that wants to buy it and often they will try to put down your price.

Apparently. The only thing about the game that makes the weapons 'equal' is the flawed implementation. Many weapons just don't work as they should due to weird scripting, strange design or outright bugs, so to the players it's all about exploiting those flaws. It's pretty random, and any weapon can get a sudden 'boost' or a sudden 'sink', defying its 'nominal' stats. At times DE gets it 'fixed', at times it stays forever.. Again, all random. Pretty ironical how the author actually speaks of all the 'features' in the video, but still calls it 'a myth'

It is grindy, but I can honestly say it's the most pleasant grind I've ever played. The main reason for me is the combat feels absolutely phenominal. The simple act of slide-attacking with my Orthos Prime, or watching massive groups of enemies get blown all over the walls from my tonkor, never gets old. The movement system is fluid and fun to master, especially the bullet jump combined with the glide, and the animations are clean and high quality. The worst part of the game, IMO, is probably archwing. It's really not fun at all, it feels tedious. Thing is, you really don't need to use it very often. To top that all off, the player community is the friendliest I've ever interacted with. So yeah, I would definitely recommend it.

its tru that Mr doesn't make skill but i find that often times low Mr players have less experience than high Mr players, not directly leading to lower skill level, but usually leading to a lack of knowledge on how the game works which indirectly affects their skill (Mr 1 vs Mr 21) it's not always true (as u said how u could go to Mr 21 in a short amount of time) but it seems to be the case in a lot of situations, so a lot of higher Mr players (myself included) just generalize the entire population of low Mr players *tl;dr* its more likely to find a player with lower skill level in a group of low mr players than it is to find one in a group of high mr players

LiveToYiff MR 23s have no leg to stand on. Tried to run Hirecon with numerous excavators at once (take note, I'm a MR 18; there were 2 MR 23s and an MR 21 I think) excavators destroyed before 1000 because nobody helped anyone. Literally a game later, everyone but one with a lower MR than me (mine being 18). there was one below MR 10 (not sure specifically what rank) one above MR 10 and another around the same rank as me. Only 2 destroyed and we managed to get to 2000 cryotic (with numerous excavators being run at once). Yeah MR means jack shit. Teamwork is better.

simple enough, look for the mods called Fury and look for Molten Impact, Fury lets you attack faster and Molten Impact will let your heat swords do more heat damage, also look for the mod Jagged edge for the slash damage and look for a stance mod, make sure to level up the mods using endo, the rest is personal taste really

Simply Alex You get MR by leveling an unused weapon, so yeah just get a bunch of weapons and get them to max rank and sell them. Warframes, sentinels and different breeds of kubrows and kavats give MR too

Actually, you can focus on a single frame, seriously people who look for specific frames for missions usually are just lazy fucks who want trin to give energy so they can spam their ability while sitting still for HOURS for what the game wasnt even meant to, otherwise DE wouldnt actively try to get rid of that. Of course for certain mission types some frames offer an advantage yet its never impossible or hindering to play what ever frame you want in any type of mission. You only need to know HOW to play your frame and youll always be fine.

this happened to me recently! i had finally managed to built my Trinity Prime and was trying a few rounds of Draco to get it to level 10 at least so i could get all powers available! so i start playing and the spots get filled quickly! one of these players starts looking around for a little bit, then he/she asked if my trinity was an EV Trinity to which i replied that i like to have all rounded frames and weapons (a jack of all trades built per se for every situation if at all possible without specializing in any one thing) and therefore no my trinity wasnt an EV Trin! I'm rank 16, and still know half as much as some of the MR8's i know. Though generally I've met people who sit at a median of 15, who generally know more about the game than 21s and anyone under rank 8. So it really depends on the person. With a higher MR, GENERALLY the person has used and felt more gear and frames than a MR5, who doesn't even have weapons available past like an upgraded braton.

it is really fun to farm out all the frames though (until you get to harrow and nidus. or, if you're me, octavia's neuroptics. its got a 23% chance to drop on Rotation C of ODS, 23%! and it took me over 40 runs to get the dang thing.)

Ronald, you'll never progress far in the game by not farming all 33 of the frames. Which all of them are fairly easy to get. IF you think you're saving yourself a grind, you're lying to yourself. It took me literally just 1 month of casual playing to get all 33. NOT getting them will extend your grind by 3x because most players won't want to carry your useless frame throughout missions that need a specific frame.

from personal experience, i just say play at your own pace. i didnt get a new frame outside of Rhino and Excalibur until id already played the game three and a half years. they are irrelevant to progressing through the game in all honesty, and Excalibur is literally one of the best frames anyway. you find what you like and enjoy the game the way you want. i suggest you get new frames/weapons and try them out to see if you like it (i never thought id ever play nidus until i DID play him, and now he's my third favorite behind Rhino and Valkyr) but dont make it a goal to "win" the game. that will just suck all the joy out of it. and there is rarely an instance where you MUST have one extremely specific frame to succeed. i can go through any spy mission as Rhino without a single issue. sure, it might be easier with Loki, but you dont HAVE to have him.

Yeah, if you prefer solo play. But if you're going for team play, you're gonna have to step up and get some frames. Around 4 or 5 frames is fine.

As a new (but returning) player, I can say that without paying a cent, I got a hold of 3 different Prime warframes. You can unlock literally everything by playing because you can sell blueprints for platinum (the premium currency).

I don't main a certain warframe. I love playing as Saryn or Nyx. However, I don't like playing as Banshee and used to hate Trinity. But now I've gotten used to Trin and I still hate Banshee. Nyx is love... Nyx is life. Also, I prefer the Lex prime to any other secondary that I have. I also hate the war and love the Fang prime and Redeemer. I also suck with Orokin cell farming.
