Her powerful controlling mantra suppresses and transforms the evils of greed, hatred and delusion. We chant the mantra here in original Sanskrit: om tare tuttare ture shatrun ucchataya svaha ॐ तरे तुतरे तुरे शत्रुन उक्चतय स्वहा MANTRA MEANING: Dark Red Tara Who has Victorious Power over the Three Worlds to protect us and overpower our arrogant enemies. Om is homage to the Body Speech and Mind of Tara. Tare, liberates and saves us from suffering in Samsara Tuttare liberates us from the 8 dangers of lions, elephants, fires, snakes, robbers, prisons, floods and demons, which also mirror the poisons of pride, delusion, hatred, jealousy, wrong views, greed, desire, attachment, doubt. Thus, Tuttare liberates us from every outer and inner danger. Ture, liberates us from disease. “Shatrun Ucchataya” means “overpower pride” or “arrogance.” In this context the enemy can be the obstacles and negativities of our own arrogance and pride preventing us from attaining realizations, or it can be mundane, arrogant external enemies threatening our lives. Tara Victorious over Three Worlds (6th of the 21 Taras) is the most energetic “dharma warrior” aspect of all the Taras. She is Dark Red Tara with her powerful controlling Phurba, who conquers all enemies, especially the three types of evils motivated by greed, hatred, and delusion. These demons and poisons are pinned by her great three-sided Phurba dagger. Her Phurba also symbolizes that she controls all three times, past, present, and future, and also all three realms: heavenly, earthly, and netherworlds, as well as formless, form, and pleasure realms. Her other name (Nyingma lineage) is Tara 6, Tara who destroys harmful influences, called Jikché Chenmo. In Atisha lineage she has a red vase with controlling nectar, while in Nyingma lineage she is depicted with a Phurba. Both of these symbolized that she subdues negativity and mental disturbances. Phurba is the preeminent weapon of the Karma Enlightened Deities, all members of Tara's Karma Family, including: Tara and Vajrakilaya. Another red Enlightened deity who wields the Phurba is Hayagriva, the wrathful emanation of Avalokiteshvara. Dark Red Tara's phurba and mantra controls the three worlds - symbolized by her three sided Phurba, which are described three ways: Desire realm (kamaloka), Form realm (Rupaloka) and Formless realm (Arupaloka) Past (bhuta), Present (bhavat) and Future (bhavya) Heavenly (svarga), Earthly (bhuloka) and Netherworld (patala) Red Tara Victorious Over Three Worlds Controls Them All through her magnetizing power. Her Phurba also “pins” or suppresses or controls the three poisons which cause our suffering: Greed (raga) - represented by the “rooster” in thåangkas Hatred (dvesha) - represented by the “snake” Delusion (Moha) - represented by the “pig” She transforms these with six virtues: Greed is transformed with generosity (dana) and non-attachment (alobha) or the Wisdom of Equality Hatred is transformed with non-hatred (advesha) and Metta (loving kindness) Delusion is tranformed with non-delusion (amoha) and prajna (wisdom) To symbolize these activities she is dynamic, dark red, representing powerful control and magnetizing, with a Phurba or a red-black Vase of Controlling Nectar symbolizing “pinning” or controlling the three poisons and transforming them into the Three Wisdoms with the six virtues. Mantra (Atisha Lineage) om tare tuttare ture shatrun ucchataya svaha ॐ तरे तुतरे तुरे शत्रुन उक्चतय स्वहा English Praise: Homage! Sanskrit Dharani:Namah shakranala Brahmamarud vishvesh varachitebhuta vetala gand harvagana yaksha puras krte Color: Red-black Sacred Implement: PhurbaVase: BlueNectar: Nectar intoxicates the spiritsActivity: Enchanting and magnetizingSpecialty: Attracting Atisha Lineage Visualization: On the sixth petal is Tara Completely Victorious Over the Three Worlds (Jikten Sumle Nampar Gyalma), red-black in color, who is victorious over the three realms. She holds a blue flask containing nectar that intoxicates the spirits. Lama Zopa indicates: “By intoxicating the spirits, they become unable to function and so unable to cause harm to others. I guess it’s a bit like taking a business client to dinner and getting them drunk, making it a lot easier to get them to agree to any deal you have to make.” In Surya Gupta lineage she is also Tara 6 Tara Victorious over the Three Levels of the World Trai Lokya Vijaya Tara / Jig Ten Sum Lay Nam Par Gyal We Drolma In Surya Gupta lineage she is dark red and has four arms with sword, vajra, Mudra and lasso in the four hands. PERMISSIONS: As one of the 21 Taras, anyone may chant and meditate on Enlightened Tara. #redtara #redtaramantra #tara #21

Thank you very much For the knowledge modern yogis, a question, Can we understand her activity as interchangeable with Vajrayogini or red Tara is not that kind of yidam?
@BuddhaWeekly2 ай бұрын
🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏 Very welcome. Yes, certainly, Vajrayogini, Vajravarahi, Kurukulle are generally considered emanations of Tara and the key differences are on the practices (each emanation focuses on a different poisons: classically, the five poisons of attachment, aversion, ignorance, pride, and jealousy). Tara as the Mother of All Buddhas is the Wisdom of all the Buddhas in her Dharmakaya aspect. She also benefits beings by emanating in both Sambhogakaya (countless forms, including Dakinis such as Vajrayogini or Vajravarahi), and Nirmanakaya aspects (i.e. incarnations as beings in our relative world such as Jñanachandra or Yeshe Dawa). (This from Tara Mandala, for example: "in India, Tara's popular emanations include wisdom Dakini Mandarva and Niguma. In Tibet, she was Dakini Yeshe Tsogyal" This is why in the 21 Taras, we symbolize this through praising 21 of her forms in the five families (Green for Karma family, Red for Padma like Kurukulla, Blue or Black such as Black Tara, Yellow Taras for Ratna Jewel family, and White for Buddha family). We also have 108 Taras practice and 1008 Taras. So, to focus on Vajrayogini and Red Tara they are different practices, with different meditations and visualizations, but they both focus on the same activity of magnetizing and controlling (red, Padma family). They are both emanations of Wisdom. Wisdom emanations are emanations of Mother Tara. It's a big topic, we've covered a bit more in our video "Tara - Swift Heroine. Mother. Saviour. Friend. Stories of Rescues; Mantra & Sadhana" here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2ivpJeOa7uFqsk&t Hope that helps. In kindness, BW.

Red Tara seems so much like Vajrayogini. Are they one and the same? Do their energies overlap or even co-incide?
@BuddhaWeekly2 ай бұрын
Certainly, the key difference is the practice (Tara practices are found in all four classes of Yogas whereas Vajrayogini is only in the last one, Highest Yoga). We have a feature where we cite His Holiness Sakya Trichen (at the time of the quote Sakya Trizen) on this very topic. If you're interested, I'll link, but here are some quotes: Most teachers and practitioners see Tara and Vajrayogini as different aspects of the same Enlightened Body, Speech and Mind - the same Ultimate Truth. The key differences are in visualized aspects, and practice emphasis. His Holiness Sakya Trizin explains: “In order to help different types of people and situations, the Buddha takes different forms. Some yidams are in wrathful form, some yidams are in peaceful form, and some yidams are female deities, like Tara. Yidams are different forms of the Buddha.” “Actually these deities are … the manifestation, of the ultimate truth. The female deities are more on the wisdom side and the male deities are more on the method [compassion] side. But the ultimate, actual transcendental knowledge of wisdom is the complete union of these two things. So they are not really separate. His Holiness Sakya Trizin points out that Tara can be found in all four classes of Tantra, “whereas Vajrayogini is only in Anuttara Yoga Tantra, which is the highest class of Tantra. They are both, in reality, Prajna Paramita, or the ultimate transcendental wisdom, but in form they are very different. The main emphasis of Vajrayogini, of course, is only achieving enlightenment for the benefit of others.” "Tara is more for helping develop siddhis [someone who has attained enlightenment or a paranormal power possessed by a siddhi], for instance, to prevent disasters and to protect you from evil on the path. If you use it for your own personal benefit, that is not the right way. It is for achieving the ultimate goal and helping all beings. You need a long life and wealth and health for that. If you are involved in Tara’s blessings for that reason, that is the right idea, but it is not just for the worldly benefits. It’s like asking a great emperor to sweep the house. “Actually these deities are … the manifestation, of the ultimate truth. The female deities are more on the wisdom side and the male deities are more on the method [compassion] side. But the ultimate, actual transcendental knowledge of wisdom is the complete union of these two things. So they are not really separate.” FROM Buddha Weekly feature: "Tara, the Saviour, and Vajrayogini the Sarvabuddhadakini: how are they different, and how are they the one? The importance of Female Buddhas: Wisdom personified" found here: buddhaweekly.com/?p=11392 Hope that helps. In kindness, BW Hope that helps... 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
