Great trip! The first part of the river remind me a lot of the Thames here in south Ontario right about till you get in to a little more whitewater. Thanks for the video. I'm the definition of slow when it comes to setting up or breaking camp, so I can appreciate the extra time and effort it must take you, with several camera angles and whatnot. Hey mate! Slow to break camp ey? We'd get along lol! Yeah it's quite nice when you're alone, cos you can be as sloooooow as you want! 8:53 the water filter - does this make any lake water drinkable? Also do the wildlife not disturb you in the night, like the foxes or deers and what not?
@EzeAdventurer2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if ANY lake but it does filter to 0.1 micron level which basically removed 99.99999% or something like that of any bacteria / viruses. I've used it in many scenarios and never had any issues. Haha no wildlife don't disturb me... in the beginning when I started camping, it was all very new, so every leaf rustling kinda gets you going. I do hear sometimes branches snapping (deer likely) or small footsteps here and there, maybe badgers, foxes and small animals. Nothing here in the UK is dangerous though, so ultimately you just gotta let it go. Ear plugs can help in the beginning (not recommended in bear country though!!)

This is on my ‘must watch’ list for later. I see you have changed the channel name, got to be a good thing, if I searched for the old name KZbin could never find it. If I wanted to find one of your videos I had to try and remember the title then search for it that way. Hope this boosts the number of subscribers and watchers because they don’t know what they are missing!

Yes exactly Timsy!! The old name was too generic, love the feedback thanks buddy and totally resonate in your logic - hopefully the theory will play out in practise! Your words of encouragement are too kind as always, hope you enjoy the video ( I know you will!) when you get the chance. Best wishes, Eze.

Great video showing the trip and challenges….. one question, how did you get back to your car with all your gear? Was the ride back up a friend or taxi? Thx

Enjoyed the video but the place you launched is pronounced King Yousay . Only other question please what are those zippered wellies called ? Are they insulated ?
@EzeAdventurer Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the clarification! Actually the boots and trousers are separate! The trousers are from Decathlon and the boots are an absolute dream. They are the Muck Boots Arctic Sport.. they ARE insulated, SO SO warm and so comfortable, pricey but can't recommend them enough. Link below: amzn.to/3QhrkYV

Very well done. Your video (and others) have inspired me to get a canoe for some adventures of my own! May I ask where your accent is from?

Thanks so much - glad to hear that!! That's the goal !! Get out there and have some fun. In doing so, you'll fall deeper and deeper in love with nature, and more likely to want to protect it, and influence others to do so too. Positive spiral! I'm from Argentina mate :-)

Hi there Eze. Did you make a note of your camp locations? You founds some gems to pitch at and I’d love to find them when I paddle the Spey next month.
@EzeAdventurer2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mate, I didn't actually as it was too hard to calculate progress etc. You'll find plenty once you are there, go for it and wing it, it's always the best way!!!
