6 day outback NSW back roads pub crawl parts run.

Another dumb decision finds my hooking up the car trailer and setting off for Tibooburra far North West NSW to pick up another rusty ol G60 Patrol i found in a paddock, more importantly, an excuse to take the young fella on an outback NSW tour of back roads

I've got one in my shed with a fiberglass roof, the bloke i got it off blasted the paint off it and left it outside untouched for 2 years so there's plenty of surface rust and a few holes, i might get it going one day, i might not, i had an unmolested ute too but sold it a coupla weeks ago, got an offer i couldn't refuse :)

yeah, they are a love hate relationship, a bugger to work on even though they are so simple, every bolt always seems rusted. i like this one tho, because its been so abused and survived i think.

That’s a rare one because it has the factory deluxe hardtop. Only came in like 1979+.

yeah so ive since been told, didnt realise til i got it home. i thought it was aftermarket til i noticed no clips. i have never seen a factory hardtop before.

Original tires mate, the Toyos. Those are optional Warn free wheeling hubs too. They look nice!

Never been off road, its still got the steeps. I smashed both mine on day one, the first off road drive back in 1977.

Yeah, just lots of dirt roads , well theres no bitumen anywhere near Tibooburra i spose eh.
