How good were you before if you don't mind me asking? I used to play and even recorded with punk bands back in my early 20s and Teens and now just trying to get back into guitar. I was never able to solo but I really want learn to play good metal leads. I'm looking for suggestions for KZbin lessons for someone like me to start off with

I would use this channel, but start with the easier/ beginner videos. I also recommend looking out for excercises, which u can do every day. Another point is music theorie, i would deffenetly recommend learning it. It sucks, but u will understand, what u are playing@@nv.d.2587

I’ve been self taught for a year, and I was beginning to sputter….not adding songs or riffs to my repertoire that I could play well…same mistakes/limitations….THIS VIDEO is bringing me out of that fast. I look forward to utilizing many more. Thanks a lot. With 24 years of coaching college/pro athletes, personal fitness trainer, and now a nurse educator makes it easy to recognize your ability to convey knowledge effectively. And you my friend are exceptional. Thanks for your hard work 🤘🎸

I always play A min. Pentatonic. Then build around it for either 7 notes or 8. Depending on the measure (verse, chorus, bridge) the chords can be the scale notes, or not made with the scale notes. The 8th note I select is usually a tritone for a faster run.

These comments almost sound like paid professionals wrote them instead of the average, run of the mill, KZbin viewers lol😉! These comments lack that certain semi-literate “charm” and oftentimes outright terrible grammar that’s so commonplace in KZbin comments lol. Regardless, the content offered on this guys channel is awesome! The guy has a knack for communicating this stuff which makes it that much easier to absorb! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their chops!

At 3:00 (three note per string approach) I can play the lick sitting down. Although standing up, it’s better to tap the (pinky notes) with my right hand. (If I’m jamming 7 string (main guitar) it’s only way i can play 3 finger stretch lick. My fingers are average limited. I have to rearrange notes playable, when learning someone’s solo. This helps lot, but doesn’t work every time I try make easier.
