Preachers emphasize the sexual impurity part of this passage, but Paul also says here that the greedy man doesn't inherit the kingdom. So why don't they ever elaborate on how it's unchristian to live in a house that's as big as a public school..? Why don't they preach about the sin of hoarding up millions of dollars, and being unwilling to help those who are in desperate financial need..? Why don't they preach against having a fleet of expensive cars - that you never even drive..? Maybe it's because they don't want to embarrass the wealthy who attend their churches; because they don't want to lose their patronage. It's fake boldness to preach against sexual sins, while never preaching against the greed of the Western world. It's a subtle error in preaching, but it's there.
