Be aware of my lens protector recommendation, it seems some brands cause an issue with ND filter and wide angle lens magnets not holding very well and slipping around, heads up!! screen protector is fine, lens protector only if your not using any magnetic lens attachments!

You are the first person that mentioned calibrating the gimbal! Great video!

Hey thank you SO MUCH! im learning more about this little camera each day, then they toss in firmware updates which adds more to learn, its such a great camera, not calibrating the gimbal every so often really does lead to some odd behavior lol

Super useful tips. I wish you had actually illustrated all the tips on the DJI screen because, as a novice, I'm still not sure where everything is and it was so much easier to follow along when you actually showed the dji screen and what you were doing step by step.

Hi. Myproblem with this kind of selfie tripod combo: cannot use on slope, uneven surface. Or you must put something under one or two legs of the tripod to stand straight vertically.
@YoukayTV3 ай бұрын
Yea, what you get in portability with them you loose in functionality. Look into a small carbon fiber travel tripod if you’re constantly filming in slopes or uneven surfaces! Will weigh about the same and pack down almost as small but give you much more flexibility!
@gothenburgguides8 ай бұрын
Great video! Im a bit on the fence about the tripod to be honest. Its very easy for the tripod and Pocket to get knocked over by the wind and the Pocket will get busted up. I would much rather use a either a magnet mount that can get stuck to any metall surface (quite cheap on Amazon) or a vice type of mount that can get screwed onto a railing or something, it will be much more secure for the camera. I would recommend buying a decent range selfie stick tho. I used this to get my pocket up over crowds etc while I control the camera and settings on my mobile with the Mimo app, that is amazing if you wanna shoot a race of any kind or a concert or event, to get a good angle.
@YoukayTV8 ай бұрын
totally agree with the tripod, ive used my little selfie stick at max hight around 4ft is and even the smallest wind is a bit noticeable in the footage, i'd never deploy it in real wind though, it absolutely will get blown over lol

Nice tips! I bought a screen protector and lens protector for mine and put both on before first use... My wide angle lens adaptor is very slidey on top of the lens protector now when magnetised on, but I haven't actually tried it without the protector on, is it like this anyway, or does it stick on and stay in place better directly onto the lens as intended?
@YoukayTV9 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment!! I just tested the wide angle without the lens protector and its slightly recessed so when its magnetized on and in position, it stays there, then i put a lens protector on and tested again, it doesn't sit in the recess anymore and is a bit slippy slidy. i tested ND filters too which have stronger magnets, same thing, a bit slippy. it seems to hold and do ok once you get it lined up, but deff not as secure a fit as without the lens protector!
@OliverParker9 ай бұрын
@@YoukayTV thanks a lot for taking the time to test that, looks like I might have to sacrifice the lens protection for better functionality and security with the magnetic lens adapters.
@YoukayTV9 ай бұрын
Anytime mate, given I have dji refresh, and i really baby my electronics, i popped my lens protector off after that test, rather not loose an expensive nd filter or the wide angle lens during a shoot lol!
@OliverParker9 ай бұрын
@@YoukayTV yeah, I don't want to drop my wide angle adapter down a cliff or something either! I think the lens is fairly well protected by itself and tucked away when turned off anyway.
