From what I Have understood, Private Equity doesn't hire freshers from IIMs unless You have Finance WorKEx, However if you spend 2-3 years at IB Front end/Management Consulting, headhunters would definetly find you.. My Experience from talking to different people

Nism certificates might not attract the employers because of the low barriers to enter . Practical experience along with proofs to back up your claim of proficiency in the markets would give you an edge over other candidates. Certifications like CFA and FRM might help.

Business analyst is generic role. You can apply with any kind of MBA or undergrad these days. You'll need to be good with SQL, Excel, Visualization tools like Tableau/Powerbi if that is expected. Python is good to have because you'd be able to do more extensive analysis, but SQL suffice in a lot of cases. Business acumen around the company you're targeting is important and can be expected in every interview. Honestly, no amount of certificates help in landing these roles. Get your foot in the door of any startup, grow that company, jump companies quick. That's how you can grow
