During its approach to Mexico City International Airport, the plane followed a Boeing 767 too closely and encountered wake turbulence which caused it to invert into a nose-down position

Santa barbaras pilots were very late, they did start the plane but didn't wait for the computers to synchronize before taxiing. Because of that, they have no navigation systems, and ended up flying blind, into a mountain even with a backup compass.

They were flying from Beijing to LHR, passing over Russia. Keeping a watch on the fuel temperature, which never froze, but small quantities of water (present in all Jet A1) did. When the air temperature increased, the ice turned to slush, and clogged the heat exchangers, resulting in fuel starvation, both engines flamed out. The plane, a 777, crashed just short of the runway threshold, and was written off. The fault was with the engines, leading Rolls Royce to redesign the heat exchangers, so this wouldn’t happen again.

19:16 - Weird observation but they actually manged to get crisp HD footage of London's streets from 2008? Just for the documentary? At least all the cars look like the right era.

The aircraft came to rest on the threshold markings at the start of the runway. A significant amount of fuel leaked, but no fire started. One passenger received serious injuries (concussion and a broken leg), and four crew members and eight passengers received minor injuries.

As for the third case, I think the reason behind the accident was ATC failed to provide information about the most adverse crosswind conditions. This could have aware the pilot of the high winds.

@@naojinguji9182 Season 23 for this show is coming out at the start of next year due to the fact that the US got season 22 in the form of season 17. Season 18 is just episodes from season 10 with a small amount from season 1 which the Smithsonian Channel never got due to that season airing on National Geographic in the US until National Geographic no longer had the rights in 2009.
