I believe in Nam the F-4 had RoE that forced it to close in to dogfight range despite being designed around BVR combat. In the op that annihilated the NV Air Force, they just lawyered their way into ignoring the RoE and, shocker, they shot down every Mig with zero casualties.

What bunch of goddamn bozos they follow the crashes all the way to the end come up with a final question and then don’t bother giving us the answer. Stupid !

The engine was ok, the choice of turn off it is the reason about tragedy.

Great video but the narration was absolute nonsense. At least have someone who knows just a little about aviation write the script.

As a conclusion one may say: With a Boeing you ain't going and with a McDonnell Douglas you're a dead ass. Americans made the unsafest planes ever and still think they were the masters of the skies. It's kinda laughable.

The MiG-15 with its cannons had the advantage in terms of armament. The best version of tfe Sabre was the CAC Sabre built in Australia and flown by tH0he RAAF. Armed with 2x30mm cannons it had far more effective armament than the 6x0.50cal MGs in the F-86, and its more powerful Rolls-Royce Avon engine gave it a significantly better rate of climb and maximum speed.

2:40:46 Why would they put sensitive electronics BACK into water to contain it? Is that supposed to keep rust and corrosion from forming if it dries out? My logic as an electronic repair guy says to get it OUT of water as fast as possible.... 🤷🏻
