Is it possible they'll come back to it? Absolutely. They love using chibi robo for random memes every now and then, but I would bet on 3 DKs coming out in the next 10 years over a single chibi robo game lol

@@Purpletrident You weren't listening, Chibi Robo was made to be the mascot of Skip, but none of their game were successful so Skip went bankrupt. Sure Nintendo owns Chibi Robo, but they would have to find a third party company to make another one. Nintendo doesn't think it's worth it. You're better of playing Moon: Remix RPG Adventure.

I could see a Golden Sun 1/2 remake working like how you explained the Banjo Kazooie remake; 1 seamless experience, you can go back to the Angara continent, revisit all the old areas. Would be sick

I'm of the opinion that more "bad" games should get remade. Not "bad" as in terrible, but more in the sense that they missed the mark and had a lot of issues holding them back. The recently announced Yooka Laylee remake is a good example. I never played the original, but I've heard a lot of divisive opinions about it, so the game having the chance to rectify those issues is a great thing. Other games I'd like to see get a similar treatment are Zelda 2, Star Fox Adventures, and Metroid: Other M.

Just like the industry, Shesez got remakes on the mind. Well, so do I. Do not sleep on Ship of Harkinian. It checks a lot of these boxes with modernizations like 60FPS, models/textures, and gyro for aiming.

I think something like how the FF7 Remake is is something I’d like to see in a OoT remake. Of course not 3 games of OoT, but in the visual style, more things to do, larger areas, voice acting. Another game I think of is Wind Waker but just a remaster. I look at WWHD and adding bloom was pretty cheap. Characters had real shadows so their cel shaded style would break in some areas. One awful comparison I’ve seen is Zelda sleeping with Ganondorf leaning over her, and his silhouette can be seen on some drapes, while in HD you can just faintly see him through them. What I really want them to do is try and make the character models look like the artwork with those unique pointy outlines. The levels would have that water color look, something similar that was done in Skyward Sword. Really bring that style to life in a visually updated version.

I think the Banjo remake having the levels from 1 redone to use features, power ups, etc from 2 could be neat. BUT I'm also the kind of guy that likes to be able to fully complete a level on the first run, I tend to not like having to wait to get a certain power up and then going back. Though I think that could just be a result of me having played games that do back tracking poorly. I love Metroidvanias and they're all about that. So I dunno. I would like a Final Fantasy VIII remake, or even just a version that has a redone translation. There are several times where the main protag, Squall, has full sentences of dialog and the English version just translated it all as "Whatever", just a single word, not to mention the "go talk to a wall" line early on in the game. Because of this I feel like this game and its characters have not gotten a fair shake in the English speaking world and any other regions with a translation based on the English script. If going the full remake route however I would like the Junction System to stay in place. But perhaps do what the Nintendo DS version of Final Fantasy IV did and rework the bosses where the strategy used for them in the original version not only no longer works but the boss will hard counter/punish you for trying it, requiring the player to figure out a new tactic. Perhaps add in new summons, weapons, spells, and even some post game dungeons with some super bosses to fight. Some more story beats to help explain the bits of the story that a lot of people seem to get lost on. My biggest hope for any remake however is the original versions not being de-listed from any store front they're on, or do even better and include them in the remakes for anyone that wants to play the original for whatever reason and for preservation.

A few I'd like (in no particular order and some of these are trilogies) #7 Dragon ball z budokai 1, 2 and 3 #6 Dragon ball fusions #5 Sonic adventure DX and 2 Battle #4 Gex 1, 2 and 3 #3 Final Fantasy 1 #2 LOZ ocarina of time #1 RPG maker 3 I know a few of them had remasters before, but I'm talking actual remakes rather than just a graphics update for some of them, like for Zelda, and FF1 yeah I'd happy if they just did what the tomb raider remasters did and allowed you too swap between low and high poly graphics (in ff1's case maybe swap between 2d and 3d graphics) in FF1 maybe add new classes like barbarian, ranger and bard For Sonic id not much just maybe add the avatars from forces in chao garden and speaking of the chao wouldn't it be cool if you had access to karate and racing in both dx and battle with not only local multi player but online too For dragon ball fusions and budokai I would love it if bandai namco added a way for you make custom skills like for example ssj3 but with blue hair and red eyes or kamehameha but green Fusions for cacs tbh I don't have anything to say here just it'd be cool And speaking of fusions maybe import xenoverse 1 and 2 cacs and have variations on them like a saiyan avatar who has both base and ssj For RPG Maker 3 maybe import your own characters from like blender or something

I'm gonna give my own opinions about the games you talk about: Banjo Kazooie & Tooie: I'd enjoy that. Though, I would appreciate if they tweaked a certain race Jiggy from Tooie, to make it less of a pain in the ass to get. Final Fantasy VI: Can't really comment. I've played it and all, but I just couldn't get roped into it. I actually like FFV more, but I haven't even beaten that one. I started out with FFVII, and going backward just hasn't worked out for me. Ocarina of Time: While I agree with some of the stuff you're saying, I don't know if I want them to actually change it that much. Maybe add in an extra side-quest or two, but don't make the reward(s) too much--like how MM3D added a new side-quest to get a seventh bottle. Unless it's post-game stuff, like what SMRPG did. Chrono Trigger: Never got into this game either. Earthbound: I actually wouldn't mind a side-view battle system. Not being able to see your fighters is also one of the things I didn't really like about earlier RPG Maker programs. Super Metroid: Absolutely change the control style. They could adjust it to a Zero Mission type of thing, or maybe even upgrade the game to a Dread-style 2.5D game. I'm good either way. Super Metroid's control style was good back then, but it's terrible for today's standards.

Banjo was never met to continue. The original intention for Rare is to create an adventure game called Project Dream on the SNES, but it was moved to the N 64, it wasn't working for some reason. Mostly like because realistic games can be difficult to work on N 64, such as Golden Eye. So Project Dream became Banjo Kazooie. However now that the N 64 era has ended, Rare no longer needs the Banjo and Kazooie. Why, DK 64. People did not like the backtracking of that game, and while Banjo Tooie's backtracking isn't as bad. Rare might be worried that another Banjo game would suffer the same problems as DK 64 if not worse. It's sad but it's true, some of the greatest games exists because of hardware limitations. Right now Banjo creator Gregg Mayles is making Everwild. Thankfully there are Banjo like games such as Demon Turf Neon Splash, Hat in Time, and Tinykin.

I really want a banjo-kazooie remake (and a new game) but the problem is even if they do it microsoft doesn't share games with other consoles so that does make me worried nintendo fans will never get to enjoy another banjo game all cause they don't wanna share

If I could have any Final Fantasy game remade, I'd definitely go for FFIX. The original was so gorgeous. Imagine seeing Alexandria on Lindblum in modern 3D! (We did get a taste of what that might look like from the recent fan-made intro, though). With rumors about a remake and a TV show, I'd love to see it come to be (just don't make it console exclusive, one of the reasons why FFVII Rebirth isn't doing as well commercially).

I think Donkey Kong 64 is a prime remake material because it's so close to greatness but there are just a few things in that game that make it very frustrating to play when it doesn't need to be.

2:00 I feel like it should be you can unlock the second game and when you do that it does so seamlessly like you said before, but after you beat tooie, you should be able to unlock the ability to choose the game from the menu, cause maybe you wanna replay tooie but don’t wanna replay kazooie, or something like that, or the option is there from the start, but if you play through all of kazooie, it seemlessly transitions to tooie like you said

Ocarina has a remake even if it's not on your preferred platform, it was on 3DS. Same with Banjo Kazooie and Tooie the xbla versions were not just emulations of the n64

I need an FF6 remake so bad! I would really prefer that it not be HD 2D though, since that would be a bit too close to the Pixel Remaster. I want to see FF6 in a whole new, fresh way! The other remake I need is Vagrant Story! It's been almost 25 years since its release, and it's only been ported once to PSN. This masterpiece needs more love! It's a true gem, and one of the most unique games Square has ever made!

Golden Sun Dark Dawn, full VA, there is a lot of lost detail for the game being on a DS. Add a mode to allow to fight missed Djinn through your adventure.

As long as we're talking Zelda, how about Windwaker, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. I never had a Wii U (and based on Wii U sales, I'm not alone). And getting Windwaker and WW HD on the after market is pretty pricey. At least OoT has a virtual port on the Switch.

I’d love remakes of the N64 _Zelda_ games, I still enjoy the originals versions, on NSO or Wii U… I’d really rather have remakes of the 2D games, particularly the GameBoy ones. I don’t even need them to be the 3D-2D like _ Link’s Awakening,_ even just HD 2D-type graphics with a modern UI would be great 👌 …and if we did get remakes of _Ocarina of Time_ and _Majora’s Mask,_ I think I’d just want them to look like _Twilight Princess HD,_ with a brighter color palate… and if they are going to go to the trouble to _remake_ them, I kinda want them to go all-out and design the dungeons and everything. the story and themes would be the same, but the gameplay would ideally be a new experience. that would be a nice way to give players their “classic _Zelda_ fix” after so many years of open-world _Zelda_ without the classic dungeons and such.

With the oot changes, I disagree with the combat changes, but agree with everything else, so long as voice acting is optional (on by default but can be turned off in settings) I mostly worry the style can’t be recreated in modern hardware, and don’t really trust Nintendo to do a good job of it (idk, their modern style can be kinda hit or miss for me, especially cause I’m not a huge fan of the modern cell shaded games, I worry they would use it again just cause it’s supposed to be kinda cartoony in terms of art style, even tho it’s not, and if they don’t, they might lean too far into realism. Or things may fall into the uncanny vally

I kind of hate when they remake games. It seems like the majority of the gaming community clamors for them when they're not even needed. Having said that, I think most of your pitches here were well-thought out and go beyond just wanting a graphical update of something that already exists.

Honestly, none. I know it's a lame answer, but if a game is good it shouldn't need to be remade. And if a game is bad, why not create something new? Thing is, I don't really care to see devs take someone else's game, repackage it and sell it as their own. Taking a piece of art by someone and saying "this is bad, let me alter it." For example, Shigesato Itoi made the Mother series. A remake would not be made by him. How insulting is it to claim his games *need* to be remade? Think about that. (I enjoyed the video anyway, this is just my take on remakes. I prefer simple remasters since they're a way to play an old game on a new system, and a new opportunity to support it if you were too young to buy the original when it was still being sold.) I think the one exception for me has been Fire Emblem Echoes on 3DS, but they effectively created a whole new game from the original NES game. Most people would have no idea it's a remake of an NES game if you didn't tell them.

I'd love to see Chrono Trigger in the Trials of Mana remake engine. Also, I think they could give Metroid Other M another shot if they're willing to change a lot of what made it kinda suck. I think it has a lot of wasted potential. And Mother 3 should be remade into a game with a western release. XD
