Man NIL and transfer portal ruin a college game. NIL and transfer portal destroyed a small college and mid colleges are fighting to survive. Bigger college will dominate college football due to NIL and transfer portal

There was a big drop off in talent for the 2014 Gamecocks as compared to the five previous years with the exception of the O-line. Recruiting fell off badly starting in 2011. The front four was nothing special nor was the secondary. Except for Moore, the D was just average. Cooper, Byrd, Davis, Anderson on offense were good skill players players but nothing compared to players like Alshon, Lattimore, and Shaw. 2010-13 D’s were stacked, Gilmore, Robertson, Ingram, Clowney, several others. OBC trusted and delegated too much to his assistants, especially Ward and Junior, so by 2015, the roster wasn’t capable of competing in the east anymore.

The offense was the best it ever was that year. The most passing yards in a season Great running backs. Highest points per game scored in gamecock history. Most total yards in school history. A decent defense and that team would have been lethal.

How did this game escape my attention all these years? I was looking for Nick Chubb & Todd Gurley games; which are interesting and exciting. I don't care who won most games that are 2+ years old; just that I don't remember or ever knew the outcome. Spoiler in the description? No problem; I watch a game a day (Coronavirus in NYC sucks); in 10 days there's no way I remember anything except: Gurley and Chubb carry the Bulldogs; and hatin ass Spurrier still coached Gamecocks.

South Carolina upsetting a top 10 Georgia is one of the few constants in this world. Doesn’t matter what year or how good Georgia is or how bad South Carolina is, both teams know that it can and will happen eventually.
