He's working on the Steinitz Saga. That should be really good. The man who modernized chess by introducing principles where many remain relevant today. We're going to learn a lot about chess from the ground up when he gets that going.

#Suggestion Please show some more games by Ulf Andersson! He has such an immense of masterpieces in his repertoire. Perhaps his win over Karpov 1975 (the first game Karpov lost after becoming the world champ.) or any other of his brutal end game wins. So much to learn from his games…

It must have been nice in those days to gather round and, regardless of who won or lost, work through the position together to find the best lines for the good of chess. Nowadays the engines already know it so it seems there is no collective learning to be had.

In 2008, the Chess Informator from Belgrad put out 'Best of the Best 1000' to celebrate their 100th issue and nominate the 10 best golden games. This game was covered with all lines over 4 pages. But the game didn`t reach the top 10. As best games ever were declared Ivanchuk-Yusupov 1991 followed by Karpov-Kasparov 1985 and the legendary Ivanchuk-Shirov 1996.

13:40 Well here I found the second best move, Rf1. It has the same core idea as Qh4+ in that you want to stop Rf8 after you grab the knight, though unlike Qh4+ this line allows Rh8 to keep the rook kind of relevant apparently.

At 6:55 you said you can't capture the Bishop delivering check because black's Knight is pinned to the Queen. However, you'll notice that black's Knight would then be attacking white's Queen. The real reason I think you cannot capture the Bishop is because of exf8=Q+,Rxf8 and then simply cxb3, capturing the Knight. This leaves white up a Rook, and the black Queen still under attack.
