I went with Footskins in 2021 and I have never been happier. Those slippers are super comfortable and warm, and the leather is soft and very water repellent without me adding any sort of coating. If they ever wear out I think I will go back to them. Around the same time I got my father a pair of Pierrepont Hicks slippers, and those are the cream of the crop. Probably twice the price of my Footskins, but totally worth it. They have a thick crepe sole which is excellent for outdoor use, and the design can pass for a standard leather shoe, almost like a boat shoe.

Mike is back, sliding into a comfortable pair of indoor leisure footwear for a relaxing evening of informing us where our money is best spent! Sad to hear about Minnetonka Moccasins. I had slippers from one brand that were made overseas and they hardly lasted a year. Surely going to look at the USA made ones you've mentioned here for my next pair, thank you! I bought North Star Trading Co. "The Scoot" soled sheepskin slipper/moccasins, and I love them. Excellent company with great customer service. They're a bit pricey, but I've had them for 3 years now and are still holding strong. They make their stuff in Washington state of high quality, soft sheepskin. I just looked at their website, though, and unfortunately, all of their products are out of stock currently. Hopefully, they get things back up and running again because I highly recommend these slippers.

Also, I will say that UGG Australia is actually an American brand, and did briefly make some of the “Classic Short” boots in the USA with US, Australian or New Zealand shearling. Now most of their products are Made in Vietnam, but some in Central America. UGG is a style of boot from Australia because it’s practical, but Ugly! Australian was selling them here made there and Deckers Corp. bought the brand. Long story, but the surfers used to wrap their feet in shearling to warm them up after surfing in the cold water, and some clever guys decided to put EVA bottoms on them and that is where the UGG boot came from… 🤪🤔😎

I recently purchased Wassookeag moccasins but have since heard they are closing for good. Sad to lose another company like that.
