Do you tend to focus on our physical wellbeing much more than our emotional wellbeing? After all, it is easier to focus on something that we can actually see, rather than something such as emotions and feelings.
One of the most common negatives of this is emotional exhaustion, which is defined as a state of feeling emotionally drained and worn out as a result of accumulated stress. To help you prevent emotional exhaustion, we made this video.
We also made a video on the signs you're emotionally drained: • 6 Signs You Are Emotio...

Mostly these two: My repression and sometimes toxic positivity, because I don't like having to burden others with my problems plus, many times I'd rather just avoid crap if I can. And three: I always have to try and be in control, which is one reason why I think my anxiety can quickly skyrocket so much!

I've had some emotional ups and downs for the past few months, mostly because of a crush I have and experiencing things with my friends that are graduating that I may never again. Rumination, repression (occasionally, I used to be bad with this), and focusing on things out of my control are some of things I noticed I've been doing. It's crazy, like just last night I saw my crush and had a really fun time with friends, but driving home I just kinda got sad. I really can't figure out why, but it has to be one of these.

Combination of second and fifth is just my constant mood It made me nervous, 80% of time being exhausted and in recent years I have a slow decrease in attention and memory and it's getting serious... I know the cause of it - my bad relationship with mom which also led me to always being unable to relax because "I must be working right now and not uselessly lying here" and the only moment when such thoughts stop is when she's not at home/sleeping And it's going to be hard for me to leave her for a sole life in more developed country even when I turn 18 because of a feeling that it would be a betrayal + I need someone to pay at least for a plane ticket and and to have enough money for living in a first world country which feels depressing...

Are there any resources that can help you in your country at all? And sorry you are in such a tough spot, I know for me, just leaving the house at 18 before graduation was hard. I can't imagine coming to a completely different country. I would try moving first into your own place, in your own country and starting out with baby steps? I think living on your own would help to at least establish a job so that you can get money first, on your own. Being around your mother, sounds like it is a burden enough on top of the poverty that you're in. Try to be able to get some freedom from her, first. Looks like at least you can understand English enough, so hopefully you can understand this!

I’m in a really bad, depressive episode and I haven’t had one this bad in over a decade where I was first hospitalized for my depression. My girlfriend and I just moved in together three months ago and she’s been visiting friends and I’ve literally been on my own, with no (meaningful) human contact for a month and half. I know I probably need to go to the hospital because I’ve stopped eating and keep thinking of hurting myself, but we have two cats and I can’t leave them alone because I don’t know when she’ll be back. I just moved to a new city and I have no friends here and my family are hours away so they can’t reasonably help. I’m just feeling so lost and alone

I’m so sorry you’re feeling down 😔 Do search for an online therapist for support, there are many there to help get you through this. Then find a charity like a homeless shelter or soup kitchen and volunteer. You’ll start meaningful relationships and wont have to put all your needs on one person that isnt there. I know, my SO travels for a living. Love yourself. Give yourself happy moments , a nice bath, music, a happy movie. Call and chat with family. Make a short vid about the weirdness of cats haha! The point is, you have the choice to make positive actions that turn into peace and happiness. Again I know this because I had to do it to change my environment and life. And you can too❤️

First off, call a mental health hotline right away! They will have resources to help. Then you can call a local animal shelter or even pet store and they should have people who foster pets temporarily that can care for your cats while you get the help that you need, then you can bring them back home when you are feeling better. Don't ever forget that people love you! You have infinite value and worth! 💕

I relate to 4/6 of those points :') For me and my rumination, I know I'm ruminating, but I just can't stop. When I try to, I feel like I'm doing something wrong. It's like my mind convinces me that by ruminating, it's me "feeling my feelings" or "expressing/dealing with my thoughts" somehow (even though it isn't). My mind also convinces me that by not ruminating, I'm "ignoring" stuff that needs to be dealt with, so I make the conscious/unconscious decision (unconscious because it's pretty much habit) to just sit with what I'm feeling and thinking for too long, as time goes on.

That music was wonderful. The rumination part hits me again. Rumination is bad but I feel like we need to be ashamed of some things to keep us humble. We have to be honest and humble about our past.

Very useful information. In life there are only 2 problems -mind and the body. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives good relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Do the practice without any expectations. When taking a walk, at office, in school, when reading, before sleep etc observe your breath sensations. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a good life. Reduce negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Best wishes--Counsellor.

Well, focus on the now: avoid dwelling on things you can't control, don't be afraid to reach out and ask for help be open about your feelings and learn to balance and schedule time for your tasks - if you're not seeking out ways in order to maintain a healthy work-life balance then clearly there is something else you need to address in order to obtain a healthy mindset. And that pretty much sums up what I would do. Be Proactive.

Magnificent person reading this… The truth is you are confident and good enough already with who you are, where you are at and what you have right now to have the success you want in life. Don't let others define what “success” is for you. Get up, learn that skill and go after it! I believe in you so much! Have an awesome day! - Love, Nat ❤️

When I was younger, I dealt with all of those things, including resentment. I couldn't say no, so they took advantage of my good nature and used it against me. I became resentful and exhausted. Sometimes being nice becomes too much and you start resenting the people you're nice to.

Yes, I am emotionally drained. I lost my mother last year, and I find myself thinking of her almost every moment. We shared the closest mother-daughter bond. After her passing, the world seems like a misfit to me. I feel like I don't belong here. I try to look happy for some people who care but honestly, I want to away from every person on earth. I try to be happy, but it's all short-lived. I hate going to work, I hate work. I hate everything. I just want to lie in some dark corner of a room and cry and sleep to death.

You might need to change your life in a drastic way, quit your job and travel across the country, do something you wouldn’t have EVER seen yourself doing, if its pain that you want then get it in a healthier way like intense exercise or intermittent fasting, but most of all, please hold on, latch yourself to any little happy moments you can get

I have experience the last one which is too much saying yes and repressing emotions. My friends abuse me a lot this school year, asking lots of question and school works and I tried to repress my emotions because I value them as a friend but turn out that I was the one devalued. Now I focus on my self. Thanks for this video

1. I unfortunately do that all the time. It’s so difficult for me to not think of the past. I just want to stop. But how? 2. I don’t want to do that, but I do because I can’t cry out loud because I am surrounded by family, and whenever I try to cry, someone walks into my room. And I don’t know where else to go to cry without anyone seeing me. :/ 3. I like how everyone tells me that I can do better, change my future in a good one, or that it’s not too late to repair my mistakes. But I struggle with social anxiety. And my anxiety makes me step back. 4. Well. I just wanted everything to be at peace. “But I can’t control what’s out of my control.” Idk why I’m still trying. 5. Idrk what to say, but ig I’m guilty of that. It’s just that no one around me understands. So why should I tell them how I really feel? They would honestly laugh, don’t care, say things that don’t help me at all, like “Don’t be sad.” like it’s easy not to be. 6. I want to stop stepping on me just for others. But everyone is like “Oh, you don’t do anything all day, anyway. So you can help me!” I agree that I don’t really do anything usually, but when I do they say the same. Well I’m tired of stepping on me just for them! I want to give myself what’s the best, too!

About number 3, having a victim mentality, i've noticed that i do constantly try to seek people or circumstances to put the blame for things that happen to me, and feel that i am powerless in the situation, but then i am also constantly looking for solutions and trying to make myself feel better so i am not sure if i do think like a victim or if i just need to complain about everything to feel better for myself, but i also don't know why, if that's the case. Does anyone feel the same?
