2nd one is a bit misleading. I left for another state 3 years ago and hence was unable to meet my friend. We rarely talk like once every 2 months. But when we do, we talk for hours. We share everything, even the most embarrassing thing like old times. We trust each other a lot. We both are busy with our lives but if anyone of us decides to initiate a chat, the other doesn't hold back. Both of us have found new best friends but we can't ever forget each other. I let go of my bestie of 42 years in February. We had been through so much together and were always there for each other. My dad died last December and she couldn’t be bothered to come and see me, and my son reminded me that it had been over 4 years since she had visited me. It was always me going to her, I’m slightly disabled and it’s a bit of a drive. She had surgery to remove large benign cysts from her ovaries and I took my own shower chair for her to use at home and went to stay for a week to help look after her through the day. This was last June 2022, and I have a carer myself. I sent her a message telling her that I didn’t want her to contact me anymore. And it hurt to do that. We had been besties for 2/3 of my life, her kids are family to us. But she just didn’t want to bother and to be there for me as I was for her last year. So that’s it. Never had the decency to return my shower chair either, I had to get another. Said all I needed to know about her. Her oldest and dearest friend she called me, what a joke. Bye Jan.

Used to go to his place when i was younger. Have always had a rocky relationship with my mother and everytime i felt scared or hurt I'd go to his place and his family welcomed me over ALWAYS. I lost my bestfriend about 2 years ago. For 20 years, we were always close, we were each other's bridesmaids in our respective weddings. Even after I moved to a different country, we still text each other and catch up every chance we had. What broke the friendship was that I realised that over the year she had just been a terrible friend, while she is a kind person, a good support system, she always has to be right, and she holds grudges. I moved on from those old gossips, found a new life in a different country, learning new things, meanwhile for her it's still the same gossips, never moved on from that life from Highschool. When she brought up something I said that upsetted her years ago, that broke the friendship. I wasn't going to apologise for things that I've said years ago if she isn't able to move on from that.

I though I'd get closer to this friend of mine, but after I told them something personal, everything's been off about us. We dont call anymore, we have different interests, we hang out with other people when we meet, and their messages became... Dry. They usually reply lively to my other friends, but when I text them they only react or make a dry comment. There were some times when they'd try to make me talk to them, but it was really just to make our friend group lively. Sigh.
