Thanks for your sweet easy manner of teaching me how to sew sweet gifts.

Merry Christmas to you and your family! I've made Christmas table runners, tea towels and Christmas fabric shopping bags (which double as the wrapping, no paper). I love your tablecloth napkins, with the story behind! Whichever gifts are made or purchased, and given, it really is just all about expressing your love and appreciation for the recipient. Each one is a blessing. So enjoy your time with them. Be blessed, Virginia. Cheers. 🎄🎄

I needed the "boost" to finish my projects...thanks! Making PJ bottoms, doggies sweaters, simple nightgowns. Love the idea of using a vintage tablecloth for napkins...maybe next year😁. Merry Christmas!🎄🎄🎄

Wow, Virginia, you've got so many projects in the works! The matching pj pants will be adorable on your girls. I made two of the Crayon Porfolios (the Princess one for my 3 yr old granddaughter) and another for Carson my 2 yr old grandson. A soft book on "Big and Little". And a dozen or so embroidered pictures which I will Frame and iron interfacing on to make a little stiffer. Love your patterns and videos. Have all your books (which I have learned so much from) and continue to watch. Happy holidays see you next year! (my b-day and xmas gift from my love was a new computerized sewing machine) I am truly blessed! Love you.

I made the reusable make-up remover wipes( you inspired me ) and included make-up remover for my daughter's dance teachers. I also made 3 sets of placemats for family and drawstring bags for my piano students. Now on to making 18 inch doll clothes. So many projects with not much time left.
@gingercakesews4 жыл бұрын
hi Gena! Did you make your own make-up remover? Or which store bought one do you like? I have made lots of 18'' doll clothes in past years too! Very fun :)

Hi Virginia always love your vlog, a real treat. What a wonderful gesture to repurpose the gorgeous tablecloth, so many memories that will live on for a long time thanks to you. The little bags are adorable, the girls will be thrilled. I agree that buying the little tent was wise, a beautiful Danish shop here in the U.K. was selling tents for children this Christmas and looking at the display model I did think how easy it would be to personalise one for a child. I really look forward to seeing your fabulous vlog in 2020 and enjoying your new patterns. You are a real inspiration Virginia, I hope you and your family have the most fantastic Christmas with lots of fun and laughter. Big hugs and loves always, xxxxxxx ❤️🙋🏻🎅🎅🎅🎅😘🌟 Dorothy

That tent would be super cute with a set of christmas tree lights that are strands attached to a ring at the top. You could pop it over the top of the tent and be done

I love your compromises- and especially that you shared them!!! 😉👍🏼 it’s nice to know I’m not the only one! I have been making a few walker bags for some friends. One wanted “saddlebags” in the sides instead of in front of the walker and the other is getting a “beach bag- back pack ” type walker bag for the front. I don’t have a pattern- I have measurements of their walkers and measurements of what they want to be able to carry. I always enjoy your videos! I have your first book- I’ve learned quite a lot from you and I’ve been seeing a very long time! 🎄Merry Christmas 🎄

Sometimes you just have to prioritize. I'm in physical therapy for 2 hairline fractures in my foot. No tree but plenty of wreaths and bells. My family are getting smaller homemade gifts for Christmas. I made PJs for my girls too. But the huge pouf will be a New Year's present (?) 🎄🎄🎄

Love these ideas. I'm inspired to make a cover for my electric toothbrush that sits on the counter/charger. Love your use of a terry towel with fashion fabric! Will look so much better than the plain washcloth I'm using. Thanks so much.

This year im making my 2 best friends and my mom little sustainable make up remover kit, 15 pads, a fabric basket to hold them and a zipper pouch to wash them in the washer each. Mom gets 20 pads because she is my mom.
@gingercakesews4 жыл бұрын
What material are you using to make the zip pouch? I bought mine at walmart but would like to make my own!
@TheCilou64 жыл бұрын
@@gingercakesews i just used the same as the one I'm backing the make up remover pads with and a 15 cm (6") plastic zipper. I French seamed the side seams. I use 4 material /fabrics total : One 100 %cotton (or viscose) liberty type for the back of the pads, the pouch, the inner side of the basket One plastic/vegan leather for the outer side of the basket (so that it's waterproof) One 100%cotton baby bath robe terrycloth (repurposing said bathrobe which was teared at the shoulder) for part of the pads One 70%bamboo 30%poly ultra soft Terrycloth for the other part of the pads. I put 15 pads per set, 6 from the bathrobe 5 from the less soft side of the bamboo fabric and 4 from the super soft side of the bamboo fabric. :)

At this time of year you can buy inexpensive plastic snowflakes and icicles that could be sewn to the tent or be made into a garland to decorate it.
