6+ Hidden Perk & Vest Characteristics in Modern Warfare III!

Several of the perks and vests in Modern Warfare have hidden characteristics that aren't mentioned at all in their descriptions so today, I wanted to bring attention to these bonus perks so you have a better understanding of exactly what they're doing for you! What are your thoughts on these hidden perks and are there any other that you've discovered so far?

The CCT COMMS VEST also gives you a slight advantage when an enemy calls in a C-UAV. The minimap is static but enemy red dots appear when they fire their guns or your team has a UAV. I run this vest a lot

I've noticed nobody's said anything about the overkill vest also being an underkill vest, meaning you can equip two secondaries or two primaries, or one of each (like starting with a secondary in the primary slot)

Its amazing to me how well the audio of the game come's through on my cheap ear buds but when im at home with over ear headphones its like listening to the game in a barrel. You just hear everything at once unlike on aces videos you can clearly and cleanly hear each footstep wild stuff man.

Thanks Ace. I was wondering about the marksman gloves and if they also help with holding breath. They have the symbol of the focus perk, but doesnt state anything about breath duration. Also, I dont see any other perk that gives this benefit.

LOVING having Cold Blooded/IFF Strobe back finally. Sooo much more convenient and hilarious to run around in the open while teammates are getting mowed down by Heli's and VTOLs (tho sometimes if you are too close to somebody, you'll take some hits).

Hijacked IFF strobe? It basically makes you immune to killstreaks like helicopters, VTOLS, and sentry guns. They just don't target you. Even Chopper Gunners won't see a red box around you (tho they can still see your body if you're in the open). Also, it makes you not appear on thermal and night vision scopes. Very useful in multi-player, tho barely anyone actually uses it. Heh

Hey Ace one hidden thing that wasn't mentioned is that ordinance glove is that you "cook" frags and thermal baric grenades WAY faster I blew myself up in war mode due to how fast the cook pulse animation is compared to other gloves

Isn't the difference between the CCT Comms Vest and the Data Jacker that the radar ping from the vest is shared with teammates and the ping from the gear item is only for you?

The hidden comms vest ability reminds me of my favorite wiretap perk from CoD Ghosts thst allowed you to abuse enemy UAVs and prevent the snowballing of killstreaks if your team isn't that good which seems to happen more frequently as bonus armory points get awarded to the winning team only.

I'd like to know how the ping generated from the CCT Coms vest and Data Jacker interact with the Assassin vest and Ghost camo. Do they not get pinged or does CCT Vest/DataJacker counter it somewhat?

since the coms vest and data jacker are essentially Eagle Eye from prior games, normal UAVs wont ping, however advanced UAV’s will not work on them iirc.

Great video. The engineer vest and it's gear counter part. Both are not working as intended. They both state. They emit a signal. That disrupts enemies lethals (basically like the perk from ww2 when you added the flanker perk. It delayed the activation of claymores/ bouncing proxy mines. You do you run past it and not received damage . It should also provide an audio cue. Both do not work. You still die exactly the same because there is a delay allowing you to run past it. May I add the red of the engineer perk is also not bright enough, does not always highlight enemy equipment and sometimes does not go through walls. In part cod's. The engineer perk used to also highlight uavs in the minimap. To stop you looking around in the air for trying to locate them. Looking for them had got me killed so many times. Please look into this Ace

With overkill vest you can actually equip 2 secondaries. It may be obvious for someone but for people like me who started cod from mw2022 this is surprising, I didn't know until I saw a dude run double snakeshot.

dont think people realize how strong CCT comms vest is. don't think i'll ever take it off tbh. i don't throw tacs and lethals anyway. this is a free permanent UAV if you're an aggressive player and the radius of the radar sweep is VERY large.

The Mission Control Comlink gear has an additional effect. The description says something like: reduces killstreak requirements by 1 and scorestreak requirements by 125. However, it also improves Field Upgrade recharge time depending on score and/or kills obtained by the user. This is a really big deal because of the Med Box, here in early Season 2, being so powerful. I was able to constantly get the Med Box with that gear.

I actually had my own idea for vests because I honestly like the system. Combat Specialist Vest - Lose the ability to call in streaks (except nuke) - Gain the Effects of Marksman Gloves - Gain the Effects of Stalker Boots - Automatically heal when on objective or killing enemy. - Lose Field upgrade - 1 Extra Gear slot Streak Specialist Vest - Lose Gear perks - Lose Tactical Equipment - Gain effects of Mission Control Comlink - Kills from a killstreak count towards your next kill in the same life (including Nuke). - Wrap Killstreaks - Gain additional score when using support score streak.

Thanks Ace. On a different subject, is anyone having issues with a season one bug with Progression? Seems when you check on it, it reverts back to home screen or match start screen. This bug also eliminates any stats or letting you know if your XP or unlocked attachments at the end of a match. Thoughts?

I miss how the Ordnance gloves used to improve the cook time on grenades. It was a good hidden characteristic on them since cooking grenades you intend to throw back faster is handy

I use sneakers and bone conductor and like the limited operator callouts. I'd also like it to mute teammate noise when they spawn behind you, like they're dropping down from the 2nd floor...scares the crap outta me sometimes. I use the marksman gloves for the supposed ADS benefit....but does it really do anything? Thanks for the video

I'm seeing alot of hate on the Assassin vest as people say it encourages "camping", but real talk there's ALWAYS been camping in COD... when is it not been any camping? I think is pretty balanced out in my opinion with SBMM of this game. You will think that you're doing good just to get wrecked by SBMM matching you up with sweats.

There's always been and always sill be camping but the devs can easily control how much camping as a playstyle is encouraged & rewarded, relative to other styles of play. Treyarch was the first to introduce the Ghost perk that only works while moving, and I personally think that was a great move to take some of the power away from someone that's camping and encourage people to move around more. In saying this, I'm not 100% opposed to the Assassin Vest, I just think the current tradeoff of only losing your field upgrade isn't balanced with the power of the vest, relative to the other vests in the game. If it also prevented you from using a lethal for instance, I think it would be balanced just fine.

It was clearly effective. Adding stationary Ghost back is evidence that they never should have put in Treyarchs half-assed Ghost to begin with.

Not having the vests, gloves, and boots in Warzone is a clear indication of different design teams. You can bet the perk 'symbols' next to each gear piece were added later and NOT by the team that designed the gloves, boots and vests.

I'm sure many of you might have already noticed, but; if you wanna get a good laugh, equip the "INTLAS CAS-14" optic on a rifle or something, which improves your tactical stance spread, then when deployed switch to tac stance with it. Might notice a slight oversight

It reset more than your guns. It defaulted your whole custom loadout to a default loadout. But that was fixed in the latest update.

Thanks for posting this. I throw a lot of knives from behind a shield. I noticed that when I’m getting sprayed with bullets I can get the knife out and the shield back up before dying way more often with the Quick-Grip gloves. At first I thought I was crazy because the animation looks the same as the Ordinance gloves, but I couldn’t deny the result. Thanks to your work I feel more sane, lol.

I know I've seen more than a few "dark" enemies when using thermal scops. If the background behind you is clear and is bright enough it's fairly easy to target you.

I don't know if you have the footage but in the season 1 update they changed how the smoke deploy field upgrade pings. I used to use it to ping people in SnD but now it is unreliable

You should have tested ghost and the new assassin vest with portable radars. Sometimes I throw one down and I get no dots on my mini map then I go around a corner and someone without ghost kills me. Makes me wonder if the portable radar is even working as it should.

It's range in multiplayer is like half or less than its range in br is why, what was it, thirty meters or something like that? Pretty small unless you throw it deadcenter in the map, plus they won't show up until they're hit by a ping, so if they weren't in the initial range, they won't show up til the second ping

Speaking of perks.. I would like to get your opinion on the "flex" perk in warzone.. it is in the 4th slot. I keep hearing people online saying that it works like the bone conduction headset, but in warzone. They are saying that you can actually hear enemy footsteps better using it, but it isn't stated to do that. Is this true? I'm asking you simply because you are a voice that I actually trust when it comes to this kind of thing. You're a true stats rockstar. Keep up the good work, and thanks for all that you do.

theres a video about that out there already basically 1 shot cuav, 2 shots uav, also 1 shot claymores/prox mines, 1 shot on cruise missile, 10~15 shots on overwatch helo and vtol, if youre a god on timing can also block 1 out of the 2 airstrikes. Also destroy the wheelson with a couple shots, and thats it. Almost no to none interaction with field upgrades whatsoever since most of them are not 'electronical' component based.

Ace, I think the Lightweight boots give you the strafing benefits of the Stalker boots. In addition to the other movement benefits. I don't think there is a reason to use Stalker.

So maybe an interesting thing, idk if I'm not looking hard enough, but after reading your comment I searched up and down for movement speed attachments and couldn't find one that increased movement speed without also increasing ads movement speed, I think you could be onto something here Edit: I won't delete for context. But ignore this- I just found a breacher muzzle that increases only movement speed
