6 HOUSES WASHED AWAY IN CHATHE RIVER DUE TO HEAVY RAINFALL

Nagaland has been experiencing unpredictable weather for the past few months, leading to severe consequences for the local population. In Seitheke Basa, six households were completely washed away by landslides and soil erosion, impacting many lives. Affected families shared that this isn't the first time such a disaster has struck; 5 to 6 years ago, a similar incident destroyed numerous homes. This year, six more households have been lost to the river, along with valuable land and property.

Onesided wall should not be allowed , river has no wall and the volume of water is so great that near by houses can be swept away any time , if wall is to be built , both sides should be constructed at the same time before monsoon season , to avoid diversion of water force , that wall should be removed immediately for the security of all 🙏
