All great advice. Not a single point that wouldn't be relevant to everyone. Very good video! I definitely think nailing fit is by far the most important thing a man should try to do. Buying shirts that fit the shoulders and pants that fit the seat, and then getting them tailored will make them feel and look great. This usually leads to men realizing they prefer high quality items that last, so it's a win win.

Very informative. Ty. I had a lot of fails also in building my wardrobe. But with those fails, you'll learn what's the right one for you. I also learned how to tailor my own clothes. Before i bring all of my clothes to the tailor, but it's causing me a lot of money. So i studied how to use a sewing machine.

Thank you for the concise specs on height and weight. That helps. I'm 5,11'' 205 lbs, and I swear the Medium sizes work better and look sharper on me than most Larges. I appreciate that clarification. For awhile I was kind of thinking I was try to push my physique a it too much. But no. Thanks and Cheers.

Thanks for recommending Blake Mckay to me ! I plan on buying at least a couple pairs of their shoes once I save up a bit more. The Wingtip Oxfords I want though are out of my size so hopefully they'll restock or I'll probably go with another that is still available.

1. 03:35 so im not alone 😁😂 2. 00:42 so hard to find xs size 😅 3. ripped jeans trend for 5 years 4. 05:57 i agree100% i buy skinny jeans because they fit at ankles and calves but usually too tights at thigh area but i "sacrafice" this. I have slim fit jeans that are much better in thigh area so i go to my tailor and tailored the leg . And they fit much more better than regular skinny jeans. Thery good advices guys

That’s crazy how weight can be distributed, George. I’m also 6’1 210lbs but even when I was at 195lbs before putting on “holiday weight”, I couldn’t wear a medium.

My problem with sizing is that my ideal length for something like a tshirt is large, but then it is too wide. Usually when I get a medium, it's good in terms of width, but it's too short. What do I do?

Look at BYLT or Cuts they make longer versions of their tees.

What part of PA?? I grew up in Erie! I would suggest trying some new things or even going custom from places like indochino or the tailor store. You can get a great custom fit shirts/pants for probably very close to what you're paying for EB.

I think when buying luxury items, it's important to understand what good quality items for things you are looking for actually are like. For example, you can get quality shoes for USD$200~500, decent leather with goodyear welts, and those will probably last you at least a decade. Shoes from luxury houses might have shoes with similar builds but sell for double that money. The extra money you are paying for includes the brand name of course, which is supposed to promise you certain quality. Of course, a lot of luxury brands seem to be abusing that promise by cutting costs on production, but that's a whole another discussion. I think it's also important to understand that design is something you are paying for with big name brands. And because this is extremely subjective, it's up to you really to decide whether it's worth it or not. You can get a $5 white t-shirt that had no real thought behind the silhouette or you could get a $200 white t-shirt that was designed to make you look wider in the shoulders but slimmer around the waist for example. $500 with Gucci stamped on it?

@EitherOrr
@EitherOrr 4 жыл бұрын
@@jordanliu8782 this might also help you man, what i try is find oversized fit shirt and size down. Usually the oversized shirts are wide enough for the shoulder like we have with shorter sleeve length.
@EitherOrr
@EitherOrr 4 жыл бұрын
@@jordanliu8782 it actually fits me verywell, the goal of sizing down is to have the shirt more wide and having perfect sleeve length. Try it in-store or when your shopping online, look for sizing chart(you also have to know your meassurements)

I just gave away a lot of Banana Republic clothes that I bought while I was powerlifting and rocking a boxier look. Had to shake my head at all of the L and even XL shirts I spent money on. I stopped weightlifting and went from a 42" chest to 38" chest. Oh yeah, had to give away my suits too. Don't be a weight bro, bro.

You are contradicting yourself a bit . One advice : do not buy the same stuff all the time ( like a blue dress shirts , try red ) . Advice Two : things that you are buying should be interchangeable to your current wardrobe . Not always possible to fulfill both at the same time .
@loki2240
@loki2240 4 жыл бұрын
Red may not have been a very good example with blue, but it's still a good point with colors that generally work as well with the same colors as blue ( like green, gray, etc.). It's better for most men to build their wardrobe around neutral colors, but some people can pull off pops of color (including red). It's the difference between what you usually buy and one, two, or a few pieces to spice things up.

Just saying to try a new color in the same styles of shirts you own or try a new cut in the same colors you’re used too.
