I find that it is good to keep in mind that nothing can grow if you don't actually put seeds in the ground...and even when you get the seeds in they often take longer to come up then you would like. I am bad at not getting seeds in the ground, but when I do I expect them to come up tomorrow. Gardening for sure is a way to learn patience!

Oh my goodness! So true, can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to be reminded to be patient. Well said!

Trevin we aren't as young as we once were....40 is close ..careful jumping the fence.🤣 Also....the weeds .... loving all the rain as I have only had to water the garden like two times buuuut the weeds. Since I added more garden to my yard I don't have enough yard to mulch with. So my issue is finding a way to mulch without having to pay for it! Also my husband is not much to helping in the garden ....soooo I really need help figuring out how to tie up my tomatoes buuuut I can't figure out how to do it in a way I don't have to buy soooo many things soooo I'm struggling. I WILL figure this out! Happy to see ppl I know watching some of the same KZbinrs as I do and all learning what we can. Best of luck on your season. May God make it bountiful!

🤣 Gotta stay young! I hear you on the projects. That’s great you’re getting rain. I know my parents have struggled with it. We’d love to figure out our watering system, but we make due with what we have! Hope your season is blessed as well!

Hello Rileys, My favorite garden crop is red beets (detroit dark red improved) And potatoes My favorites are Pontiac Red and Kenebec White both are heirloom and heavy producers. We grow about 60 to 70 percent of our fresh produce... and keep meat chickens for the freezer and some egg layer hens.... Love the canning and preserving... Rick in southwestern Pa. Blessings....

How long have you been growing food?! What’s your zone? We’d love to get to that point where we grow most of our food. Well done. Also, nice last name…😁

Your greens look beautiful. I'm really wanting to start a garden but a bit nervous to do so. These videos help.

Thanks! Not to push you, but I’m sure you’ve heard this. A good jumping off point would be fine 1-2 things you like and give it a try. The growing bug is real! 😂 Thanks for the feedback!

Have you ever used the carrot tops in a pesto, it's so good. I love a good stir-fry from home grown produce too.

We will have to try that! We’ve used radish greens for pesto, but not carrot greens. Thanks for the tip!
