The Flamma Ekoverb is a combo delay / reverb unit with settings for reverse, tape, and BBD delay, as well as swell, modulated, and shimmer reverb tones. Even if you've already got basic delay and reverb tones covered on your rig, those looking for a one-piece ambient machine will like the Ekoverb. Though you can isolate the delay and reverb sides of the pedal, it's really meant to be used together to create lush, spacey textures. The pedal features a full metal enclosure and comes with a 120v AC to 9v DC 300ma power adapter.
Flamma reached out to me back in January to arrange this demo. They sent the pedal but as per my terms, had no other requirements about what I said or showcased in this video. I've been using this pedal since then and feel comfortable giving it my endorsement.

Yes sir Alex, I also have this pedal, honestly I love the shimmer effect and can get lost in the journey. I've been extremely impressed with Flamma's product line of pedals and now currently own 6 of them, their circuitry and overall solidness definitely moves them to the forefront. I'm playing them through my Fender twin reverb on a Stratocaster and Telecaster And wonderfully satisfied with their tonal qualities. Last week I finally decided to put a pedal board together with a dedicated Power supply, I'm looking forward to seeing them happily living side-by-side instead of on the floor searching for a home 😎 , I truly enjoy their colors and their overall presentation of craftsmanship. But for all that said and done, Flamma is making a wonderful product line and for the price point I would definitely invest in them before that changes. Thank you for sharing this video and you're outstanding music abilities and professionalism, quite frankly, a breath of fresh air.

Thoughts on this vs the straight reverb, I want to do more ambient and synth oriented applications but need something that can just cover reverb without getting too busy sometimes as well. This sounds amazing in your hands, thank you!

Hi there! I'm a bit of a Flamma junkie, their pric point and stereo options kept me coming back. The Ekoverb doesn't offer the ability to save presets, but their individual stereo delay and stereo reverb do! I haven't busted this pedal out in a minute but I think I will shortly!

A small question: @0:33 to your left in front of you, what is that small box with some purple on top with 4 patch cables coming out of the top? Is that a junction box or something else? Which brand/model, or is it custom made?

Yeah, a junction box. Input, output, and an FX loop send & return. Made by Saturnworks.

Have you checked out the Valhalla Supermassive reverb? It’s free - valhalladsp.com/shop/reverb/valhalla-supermassive/ They also have one of their older delay plugins for free. The current one is great too and only $50.

Can you put it on a regular dc 9 volt pedal board (my boss board) or does it need its priority power supply? Nice review. Pedal sounds very good.

Yep! It just works on a standard 9v supply. It does take nearly 200ma current though, which is a bit high.

Depends on what you’re using it for I suppose. With the Ekoverb by itself you won’t be able to isolate the delay or reverb without bending down to fiddle with the mix controls. If you’re going for more traditional sounds I’d get separate pedals.

If you dial the decay and mix back on the first algorithm (modulated), it can fill that role.

You can set the on off switch (by holding it down) to do either. It lights blue for trails and red for no trails. The other switch will sustain while held down

Thank you man. I am on the edge on buying one. but for bass :D. But noob question, if you convert it from stereo to mono with a Y cable, will you lose the stereo effects? pls don't roast me in the comments hahahah

Hey Rodrick - so typically a TRS Y cable takes the left side and puts it on the tip of a TRS connecting, the right side goes on the ring, sleeve still to ground. Guitar pedals are typically only set up to accept a TS connection, so they'll just be ignoring the signal coming through on the sleeve. You'll end up just losing the right channel that way. I wouldn't suggest summing a stereo reverb down to mono anyway though, you'll end up with phase issues. It'll sound better to just run mono from the start.

It definitely works and operates fine with whatever you put through it. I can't speak for how practical this type of effect would be on bass though.

Seriously how can Flamma make such a big mistake by choosing those pairs? (rev and del) I mean there is no option to have a regular normal reverb as the first one with a regular and non modulated delay? 90% of guitarist use a regular delay and a nice simple reverb together. No reverse or added flavour or etc on non of them... I can not believe this. So annoying. No?

Sounds like what you want is the NUX Atlantic. It's also an delay/verb combo pedal in the same price bracket.

You didnt tell us about the 2 holes on 1 side of it. Some demos have 2 cables connected, some only 1. I moved on early.

The “holes” on either side of the pedal are just stereo in and out. 8:10 Seriously - I talk at the beginning of the video and people complain that I don’t get to the sound samples fast enough, then I try putting the sound clips first with text overlay and people complain since they don’t have the attention span to make it to the technical specifications portion. I can’t win 🙄
