Positivi-Tea is my fave. Last year some friends and I had a high tea with our dogs for mother's day. We dressed in cute hats and dresses and had a meal and tea at a fancy restaurant on thier outdoor patio. If i could go anywhere i would go visit my mom in the next state over.

I love this series! You have so many fun and clever ideas with such variety. Hard to pick a fav from this batch but I sure do love to see you bring out that golden jewel of a marker! So the figures and golden embellishments were probably a fav as well as those dreamy gouache landscapes.

Yes! I love tea parties! I was a nanny for 2 toddlers and I used tea parties to teach table manners, turn taking, sharing 'setting the table' chores. It's been 8 years and they still love a good tea party. In summer I make iced mint tea. It's very nice and cooling. We have different treats, tiny sandwiches. Special 'appetizer sized' serving utensils. Sometimes we dress up, do it outside if the weather is nice, invite a friend (not so much w/ the last year of social distancing).

My dream destination? If I had loads of money, wasn't terrified of flying, and didn't have cats and dogs, I'd go to Switzerland. Ever since reading Heidi as a child I've fallen in love with the thought of endless views of mountains and chalets and goats and cheese and chocolate and crisp clean air... ahhhh. England, France and Scotland are also top of the list.

I love mini paintings! You don't have to add as much detail as a full blown artwork, and you can even use them as a thumbnail if you really like the concept. It's far less overwhelming as a giant blank page. If I could go anywhere, I would probably visit my hometown in Iowa. It may be a small place, but I still have some friends there, and many good memories.

Think of them as opaque watercolours. It's a different medium from both, and it may take a while to get the hang on - no water, a little water, loads of water, reactivating it or not. It's also easier to blend than acrylic paint, and it takes a little longer to dry.

Beautiful ideas again ! Great ideas to start my 10th sketchbook in a few days :) My dream location to visit is a road trip through different USA states, ending in Orlando. Sadly a dream I can never follow because I’m not allowed to take a long 10h flight. So next on top is Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Just seeing Scandinavia, the fjords in Norway northern lights etc I’m currently finishing a painting for the Arteza Contest, and a big abstract painting for a Belgian contest which I only have left a few days to finish. Thx for having some stress relief before going to bed 💋

Oh my goodness - I painted a beach in my sketchbook this week because I’ve broken my foot & cant drive myself anywhere pretty. I’m a total beach baby & miss getting to the coast. I used washi tape to make the page look like a window frame (because looking out my own window atm is looking at houses). I LOVE how flipping cute your tea cup is, I might have to try that and gift it to a friend - thanks for the ideas in this! 🥰🥰

Maybe next time you can make a 3 part video for your sketchbook tour. For example, the first one could be for beginners, the second one for intermediate, and the third for advanced artists so there is something specific for each skill level. I just thought this would be a good idea and something a little different than your usual sketchbook tours. Also I would want to travel to Costa Rica! You could separate it into 3 different videos.

Miranda, These are such great projects. It's so gratifying to watch your channel and know that there are basic skills I can apply to make something worth seeing. BTW, you coloured a coffee cup, as it has a flat bottom. Tea cups have a raised base, like a tiny stem. I think David's Teas (company) makes blends with names like Positivi-tea, Immuni-tea, Sereni-tea. I may be spelling those wrong but they have a wonderful aroma and taste. They can! But for a baseball cap, I would recommend using FABRIC paint pens, if you're going to be washing it....
