They do. Metabolic accelerator applies after combat while fortune applies before I believe. Correct if wrong

Could someone explain why jeweled gauntlet is bad with jeweled lotus? with one crit item it shouldnt be a problem of getting too much crit right?

The main reason why you either build gauntlet or take the lotus is to enable your spells to crit. And overlapping them seems like a waste. But yes. They're not that bad together. Gives lots of crit rate and damage.

I think its because you dont get the full value. You need one of them to make your spells to crit and one more will just be higher stats. So if your goal is bigger crit chance then its ok, but if your goal is simply to crit you only need one.

its not that its bad, just that since your ability already crits with one or the other it feels pretty bad unless you have a multi carry comp

Mort, i've been trying to be undestanding for the past few days/weeks, but after going 10/14 loss today, I can definitely say that this set is trash. It's the same thing: go 9 or go home. If u do not have irelia, bard, or udyr on your board, go home. Doesn't have mythic nor ghostly comp on your board? go home. Brrrrttt bard. I've been following u on your socials, and i understand that u want to increase the rate of players reaching 9, but atm it just sucks. Going 9 or 10 should be a luxury, not a requirement all the time. On set 10, u can top 4 even if you only have 7 or 6 as long as u have 3 star champs or max level emblem (like exec and punk), but in this set, 3 star 4 cost are kinda mid (again, unless you're using ghostly or mythic :3 which i think is not a set design but a balancing issue (y'all will prolly nerf it a month or what from now). The bard and yone bullshit must be stop, at least. Trickshot is a cheat. Arcanists are real downgrade from last set's mages (which is a comp i usually play). Maybe i am just fuming atm, but it's starting to feel like even if u win, you'll still won't feel accomplished. I know being a game director is not an easy job, but i wish for the betterment of the game. So good luck and enjoy our thoughts for now because we will still fucking play despite all of this yapping.

Bro is really blabbing on and on about balance when the set has literally been out 1 week. 1st of all, the set is not solved; new comps are appearing and winning all the time. 2nd, it's the literal 1st patch. There hasn't been a single opportunity for balances changes to happen yet.
