Most characters in this game have a parry in their basic kit. I like the way they did it by just putting a combo breaking mechanic, if you don't want to learn it, learn to use everything the game leaves us, we have the sids steps, shunko (sonido, hirenkyako...), counter attacks. They are literally saying; "hey, we're giving you tools to use."

I wouldn’t necessarily call a counter move that puts your into a cinematic a “proper parry” that allows for freedom of how to follow your after, but I get what you’re saying. Most of the counters moves your referring to already have a set animation that won’t allow a follow up because of how fast the guard recovers. Tosen will probably be one of the best at countering because of his signature action.

The most surprising character reveal was Izuru Kira by far. The format of this game already made me think the roster for this game was going to be on the smaller size (+ the fact that it's the first of its kind, so there are no previous assets they can use like Storm games do), so seeing a lieutenant like him made me super optimistic about who we can play as. I doubt we'll see a roster as large as Heat the Soul 7, but getting to play as some less popular characters would be really cool. I'm holding out hope for Momo Hinamori, some Visored and privaron Espada.

You were playing a controlled version of the game where there guages were set for you to play and get into the action. Omnidirectional block: Just fighting game stuff. You have plenty of ways to kill the guard. Flash attacks, breakers and attacks that threaten the guard state. I don’t think ppl shoukd compare this to other fighters. You shouldn’t be blocking so much and the demo was making it way to get away with it most likely, we will see. Parry: you do have an attack clash which can be used to stop the opponent from taking health if you time it right. We saw ppl mashing their quick attack to get it due to trying to attack after guarding so much. Spam: Meh. Whats the problem? You have several ways to get around it and this is where flash step matters. This again is fighting game shit. Hadouken! Sonic Boom! It all depends on startup and recovery and how to bait it and how to avoid/counter them.

You’re a bot if you think what you said is valid. You think people are going sit there and let you break their guard? Plus it takes a while to even break it’s way to high. And If you think that little clash is going to stop you from getting hit combo’d be my guest and keep mashing and see where that’s going to get you. I hope you realize you get two flash steps. And if you use the blue reverse and it runs out your out of luck step/dash not always going to save you. Without counter play there is no skill gap.

Some of the points you made I can see. But the flash attacks and guard breaks are slower and easily side stepped so keep that in mind. I wouldn’t call a clash animation a proper parry because it doesn’t allow for the freedom to do what you want after getting that prefect defensive move off. And flash step isn’t used without a resource. You use reverse meter to flash step ( which doesn’t recover quickly & is also you combo breaker resource ) so that one flash step you use to close the distance could be what gets your one touched if people find these type of combos lol. Good pints though, I always like to hear yalls feedback

I do feel like the blue reverse is useful and wasteful at the same time. Useful obviously to combo break and flash step and recover guard depletion, but wasteful because once it’s gone you have one less way to close in the distance and it barely even boost your spirtual pressure meter

For me it still kinda looks slow and more like Tekken or MK. I‘ve never been this split with a game so I really hope they‘ll release a demo for you to testplay on console, so I can see for myself

Omni directional blocking won't take away from flashstep. I feel like it'll be the opposite. Instead of using it to get a free combo behind your opponent; players will have to use flashsteps to punish attacks to get a combo. It's pretty much risk and reward. People using flashstep this way will way less frustrating.

That omni directional blocking has to go frfr it kills the flash step pretty much all together and not everyone has a guard breaking move or a breaker move I think is what they call it and I haven't seen a guard get broken from anything other than a breaker move and that only happened once so out of all the gameplay I have seen there has literally been one guard break and it was from as I said the breaker move and thats crazy if you got the omni directional blocking in the game might as well take out the flash step because unless you have a breaker move the omni directional blocking just kills the flash step the other way you could semi fix it is make the guard take less damage before breaking but I think taking the omni directional blocking out is a must for sure

W vid bro, I do think the omni block does shorten the skill gap but I don't see this game as a competitive game, a simple pick up game different interactions would be fire. I'm getting ready for the spam cause it will be next lvl way worse then sparking zero lol. Quinnn Gang we up!! 🙏🏾❄

I do think the animation for the Omni block is cool but I don’t like it, they should make it to where if the opponent has your back, you have to keep pressing the block button to parry their attacks and on the last hit it will end in a clash that forces your opponent away leaving them vulnerable and giving you enough time to start your combo. Or if you perfectly time the block it does the same thing. That will increase the skill gap it’s almost like a super counter but better

and when your going for the attack you after that clash you can’t just mash square your attacks whiff giving them time to block. Unless you have a character with a large attack range. Thats where step quick attacks, special flash attack, flash steps/sonido come into play

I really bleach fan i love it no matter what the do I just need a real bleach game and I'm just waiting on it to drop..Yeah I want it to be great in all the way as a fan wants it to be.. But this is the first game in years that's close to what we want so I'll take it how ever it comes

im not sure or remember if you said it in the video but is the game stiff or clunky in any way shape or form, ik the sound design is amazing from what we all have heard but that is subjective, I really hope the game is as smooth as sparking/storm movement wise.

The movement felt fine for me, but I do think it more step based and less spring and dashing like what you see in Storm & Sparking. You can tell this even from how you’re always facing your opponent. They do have a dash button, but the dash does feel awkward and it leaves you open.
