The trouble with slideshow stuff is that for me as a blind person if we take, say, Storn Connections, some of the slideshows weren't even voiced. I felt so bummed out by that, why couldn't they have at least gotten a narrator? This is why I love the Soul Chronicle mode in SoulCalibur 6. There are lttle bits of text but they aren't super necessary and I could understand the story due to all of the dialogue, plus it is a mixture of narrator saying who the characters are, and then the characters talking. Honestly, I really felt like I got my money's worth out of that game I could not believe how much of Chronicle was voiced and apart from a retelling of the events of the first game, every character had a chronicle of their own and some of the dlc ones are actually movie length!

W vid, Temper your expectations is the best way to explain it. Criticism is fine but some people were going a little bit too hard. Even the Rukia scene with the moon that I love, is apparently an anime only scene, it ain’t even in the manga which blew my mind so I can see why they didn’t add it. AND THANK YOU! The negativity has been my biggest concern because I already see what the communities have done to the past few anime games with bad takes so I think tempering our expectations is the best approach so it don’t get a bad rap out the gate. Game hasn’t even come out yet, let’s give it a chance to breathe guys🙏🏾

I think people have forgotten that apart from the game it is still in the process of being built. And most of all they have forgotten that many other trailers have left scenes of the game without complaining. I'm sure they'll fix some things but we have the whole story animated and dubbed and that's a lot. It's obvious that some of it will be rough but at least it's all animated.

After all the models and the lighting are spectacular (and in some scenes like those of the First 15 minutes will be fixed for some things) but if some scenes are animated and dubbed a little badly it doesn't matter. Because the game is ultimately like that entirely. And for a Fighting anime is already a lot

There is only 2 months left, the game won't magically look much better. My hope is that they fix the awful shadow quality and weird slide-walking before launch, though the walking issue has been there since the gameplay overview trailer so I'm skeptical about that being fixed.

@@paledrake I don't know if you saw that it was very little when there was the horrible shadow but the others were fixed... it seems obvious to me that they will do it. There are two months left but in any case they have plenty of time for the shadows...For the other one maybe a little more but having a game with full scenes and dubbing I would say that it is a lot compared to other games known today (intended for anime fighting games)

Honestly my only shock was that the introduction to the story wasn't a little more abridged to get you into a bit of gameplay faster. After how the little story clips we got on Toshiro, Urahara and Yoruichi's looked, this kind of raised my expectations for what to expect from more "standard" moments in the story. Tamsoft isn't in their bag doing super high quality cinematics like CC2 so I imagine scenes that look really good will just be key moments like right before the fight with Fishbone starts or Ichigo crashing the execution like we saw last in the Soul Society story trailer.

But, I'm writing to say my goodness I'm so, so genuinely sorry I legitimately, accidentallly, pressed the dislike button I must have been browsing so fast with my screen reader and I was meant to find he reply button. I've never gone to a remove button so fast, and I immediately found the like button instead. I do have a question for you though, what is CC2? The reason I mention screen readers and stuff is, well you might have seeen some of my other comments on here but I'm a blind person. So am just trying to start interacting with the community a bit and get ready for the game, and will watch a bit more of the anime too. Even though I can't see, I consider "watching" to be the actual viewing of a show or something like that, where as we listen to music. So it makes sense when talking about osmething that's watchable, to use the word watch, even though I am technically just listening to it. I just find it very odd if someone asks hay, do you hear tv, just seems super weird where as "do you watch tv" just feels more naturally correct, even as a blind person. So yep, I watch shows, I've startedto watch Bleach on DisneyPlus. Sadly, there is no audio description, so some visuals are missing but there is a wiki, and there's, maybe, places like this where I could leave comments. My only thing is when I've tried doing that and asking for help in the past, not one single user came to my aid and described anything to me, which I was a bit surprised about.

As a blind person, I'm so excited about this. IT seems lots is dubbed, but Storm Connections history mode was all text. It's going to make all the difference because I'll actually be able to understand what's going on and follow along, due to the voices. Yes, I have a feeling the systems will take me a while to learn, but with stereo sound already being used in gameplay, it's just a matter of learning which button does what and how the different moves work, and I'll be away. The game probably won't have talking menus so I'll also need help learning those but after that, I think it'll be fairly smoothe sailing.

Nothing they’ve shown really looks bad to me. After they said it was an arena game I was expecting a package like storm 4 but better looking and with some different mechanics cause it’s a different series. That looks like what we’re getting. I’m not sure why you would expect something way more advanced unless it was a different company developing the game with an established standard/pedigree or you’re just new to gaming in general and have no familiarity with the scale and budget of these kinds of projects.

Honestly, I’ve been skeptical of this game since they announced it. The more of it I’ve seen, I’ve remained skeptical but have also been pleasantly surprised at points. One thing is for sure, if you compare this to Sparking Zero, the story mode cutscenes are equally as static and bare bones as this game. Even though I'm not a huge fan of bleach since I remembered binging the anime in dubbed to only be caught up to the latest episode that was dubbed in the earlier arcs so I didn't want the rest in sub , so I stopped for awhile and never returned lol. but I plan to watch it again someday, so I cant really complain much , but I will say that I'm kind of annoyed that they didn't have any kind of edition that comes with the OST even in digital, the music is so freaking good and from what I can tell its made by the same people who did neo TWEWY and that is one of my favorite series so hearing their music elsewhere made me super hype for the game. but just sucks I cant listen to the music and who knows if it'll be added in Spotify or others, but I'm still excited for it either way

Great vid. Very fair and well thought out points. I wasn’t super impressed with what they showed of story mode, but I still love TamSoft for the amount of effort they are clearly putting into this game. You bringing up this game being made for ps4 is a great point that’s overlooked. That definitely held the team back in certain areas for sure. But again I think Tamsoft is doing the best with the budget/time/systems that this is being made on. The gameplay looks pretty amazing, and butter smooth. I can live with an average story mode. (Which covers 48 volumes 😮).

The 20 minutes shown didn't really impress me compared to, say, the polish of CC2's work, but the character models shown were of good quality and this has been consistent for their prior footage of fights. Fights are gonna be the draw of this game. I hope the artists kicked it up some notches for later moments like Ichigo saving Rukia or his battle against Byakuya. Now, do I want to pay 60 bucks for standard or up to a hundred bucks for the digital versions (I REALLY hate that the deluxe and ultimate are digital only)? I don't know. This Bleach game is a game I want to have and keep physically because it'll be my first ever. But if I can't get everything, then what's the point?

Me, I'm super hyped at the prospect of just being in the world of Bleach and playing through this journey with voices to guide me through. I'm just hoping the story mode isn't as much of a genuine disappointment as Sparking Zero's was. Anime arena fighters shine at their best when they have a lot of content to make it worth their buck and I don't know if it's Bandai pulling a Bandai or some other factors involved by there hasn't been a single anime game-let alone an arena fighter that I could say was worth 60-70 dollars and a season pass. Sparking Zero's ugly ass mocap cutscenes and skipping like 2/3rds of the franchise to only have the story focus on mostly Z, Goku Black and the TOP pissed me off so much it's not even funny. At least from what I've seen Rebirth of Souls's story mode looks a bit more promising, I just hope that they actually have content and stuff to do on launch besides versus and online. I'm not a Bleach fan by any means but I really do hope you guys get the best after a decade.

Clearly the people who criticized it care? Also just because it's a fighting game doesn't mean it automatically has a bad story mode. There are fighting games with good story modes like SSB Brawl, Naruto UNS 2-4, Demon Slayer, Mortal Kombat, Injustice, Tekken and GG Strive. Heard good things about SF6 too. It's mostly these licensed anime games that have dogshit story mode or anime fighting games in general honestly (excluding CC2 games).

Thing is all those games you mentioned had either bigger teams or bigger budgets, I mean strive story literaly just a movie with no gameplay. ROS story so far hasn't shown us anything that would warrant me calling it bad so far and it's already looking better than most those other anime game stories.

No one is "out of their mind" if those slideshows provide better context for scenes. You sitting here talking about you understand the complaints about the Rukia pose which served no purpose at all (not even in the manga btw) but you didn't expect Yuzu and Karin to be shown? Which was the whole reason Ichigo stormed out of his room in the first place? "Rukia pose served no purpose" - Most people's first intro to bleach wasnt the manga (Shocker I know huh) a lot of them started with the anime first and the rukia moon shot is what they remember which is why I said "Yeah they could've slipped it in but it's not neccessary" "You didn't expect Yuzu and Karin to be shown"- No because I know how game development works and how smaller companies like Tamsoft operate, they alocate resources where absolutely necessary, you hear Yuzu screaming and unless your deductive reasoning skills are at a preschool level then you would've already gathered from that scene "Oh ichigo stormed out to go get his sisters" tbh people gon be mad when Karin don't show up during the portion of the arc when Chad unlocks Brazo Derecho because chances are we not going to see her there either. Nobody is glazing a lot of yall just lack critical thinking skills and dont try to look deeper into why things are a certain way, so the moment yall dont see something you like yall start dooming and calling things trash without a second thought.
