Knots on shoelaces that do not untie.
It happens that shoe laces come across such that the knot “bow” on them is often untied while walking or running.
You can tie a knot in such a way that it will not untie on its own. And if necessary, untie it, it will be enough just to pull the rope, as on an ordinary knot with a bow.
So, there are six knots for shoelaces that will not untie.
1. This node is called the surgeon's node or “Sherpa's node”. It is a modification of the direct node. It was invented specifically for surgical sutures. This knot cannot be untied by itself, but is easily untied by hand.
2. Double sliding knot. By and large, this is the same node of the surgeon, only it is tied up a little differently and easier. He is tied up like that.
3. The node "Turquoise turtle." This is another node of the surgeon, but it is tied differently. In this way, laces were tied at the Turquoise Turtle shoe store. The names of this store gave the name to this site.
4. The node of Ian Figen. Invented by his Australian Ayan Figen. This knot is tied very quickly and does not untie on its own. But it is very easy to untie it with the help of hands. It is tied in this way.
5. The crossed knot of Ayan Figen. This is a variation of the previous node, but it turns out to be slightly different compared to the usual node of Ian Figen. When tying this knot, the loops are also threaded into each other, but you need to pay attention to the ends of the laces. The difference will also be noticeable when untying this knot. To untie it, you have to pull both ends of the laces.
6. Node “Tighten the loop”. It turns out from the usual direct node "Bowknot". After the knot was tied with a bow, you need to thread one resulting loop into another and tighten it in it. The result is a knot that will not untie, but it will have one long end of the lace. It is untied in the usual way, only you need to pull the desired end of the lace. And since there are only two of them, it will not be difficult to find him.
