Are there any practice manikins that respond to fillers? Meaning, if I were to fill the manikin’s lips , they would plump up in response to filler . Thank you ! Seems that type of training aid would be helpful to develop skills in artistry. .😊

I got a lip filler Hyaluronic acid, and it didn't work, like it looked good and a bit swollen at the beginning of the first 2 weeks, then it shrunk back down to exactly how it was to begin with! What reason can it be that this happened?..

Hi. The first 1 ml tends to be broken down by the body quite fast, depending on the metabolism as well. Once you do a top few months later, from there onwards tends to last 8-12 months at least. I tell this to all my clients.

Doc I really need your advice I’m 28 and have been getting filler since 22 years old and I have had everything voluma (yes cheek filler ) I shouldn’t have gone to that injector but after that it did it last no more than a couple months then I got radiesse 1ml split between both lips and same thing didn’t last any longer than a couple months then I got RHA filler 1ml split between both lips 3 different times within the span of two years and same thing went down . Didn’t last but maybe two months. I don’t know what to do anymore I’m spending so much money and it’s going to waste I do like a bigger look maybe I’m not using the right filler or maybe I’m not using enough filler because I like the look of the lips when it has the swelling . But my injector said it’s never advised to get more than 1ml of filler at a time and I know metabolism may have a lot to do with it but I don’t smoke or even drink alcohol and I drink a ton of water because I’m an esthetician . And I don’t work out regularly so I wouldn’t be sweating it out . please respond back if you can doc .

There is no reason to massage an obvious vascular occlusion. The protocol would be to utilize Hyaluronidase to hopefully dissolve the filler. This is of course if it’s cross linked HA that was injected.

I’ve been having lip fillers for around 15 years, had my first lot dissolved as I’d only had the top lip done, it was disgraceful! Then started again a month later. Over the course of time I was having more and more filler injected by practitioners who are more concerned about money than the client, this lead to stretching of the lip. I am a practitioner myself, and did my advanced training, dissolved my lip filler and I looked and felt horrific! My lips were so dehydrated and wrinkly, so started fresh. 1ml in the top lip and 1ml in the bottom, so much better.

I do myself and never bruise. I have injected and used hyaluron pen. I actually did mine today with a needle. I just watched loads of videos on you tube then took my time, followed hygiene rules. I purchase all my filler from made in China website. I recently purchased 12 boxs 2ml injections for £100. Do it yourself x

@ I dnt know if I’d inject it I was watching the ones where they use a diabetic needle. There a girl in Tucson that does the Russian lip with the 3pin nano soft tip n they come out gorgeous!

@celticqueen1970 not sure why it's incredibly easy to do with practice. The hyaluron pens are good for putting very small amounts into your lips but these pens are a little bit hit and miss also you waist a lot of filler. Probably better to get them done the size you want then just use the pen to top them up every so often. I use Hskinlift.. This comes with needles. Good luck x
