I have 3 moynat bags and they are Hermes quality and handcraft level. It is important to note that all their bags are hand stitched and fully handmade with the same leather and quality standards as Hermes… it is an underdog and people are totally sleeping on this merit and value. I have absolutely no issues or signs of aging on my bags. The rejane model has 7 layers of leather to hold its structure… they are very wear and tear resistant

Thank you for your detailed insight, Dyana! I imagined they are Hermès level in terms of quality etc but wasn’t quite aware that they are also fully hand-stitched. That is amazing, and puts the price tag into perspective. I will go to Paris in March and fully intend to stop by the Moynat boutique to get a better feel for the brand. In NYC, I just filmed but didn’t bother trying bags on because I wasn’t planning on purchasing high-ticket items in the US. Your experience with wear and tear (or lack thereof) sounds amazing :)

I own the Chanel business affinity in the regular size, I think Chanel changed the names and it is now the medium, and I love it but I have never had an issue with mine tipping over which I was expecting. It is very versatile. It also has a nice large pocket on the back of the bag but the strap is not adjustable or removable and is a bit slimmer compared to the classic flap chain strap but it has a leather strip that goes over the shoulder for comfort. I agree and understand what you mean with a threshold on spending for handbags and buying what you love regardless of classic or trend. All great points!

I’d imagine the BA being super versatile. It can easily work in both day and evening settings. I probably should have just bought it a few years ago. That seems to be a reoccurring theme with Chanel bags😅

I also have the medium Chanel BA in light grey and love it to bits. I got it pre loved last year in excellent condition with stickers still on and also never had tipping over issues. I completely agree with the price points, it’s way higher and actually my max. I recently purchased the small and it works well for me since I don’t really carry too much to begin with.

I do agree with you on the Triomphe bag but I decide to get it anyway because I love it so much and use shoulder bags everyday. The black one adds some freshness to my collection as I don't own that may in black. And as a true Celine bag lover I just couldn't resist. Besides, I don't live on IG and KZbin so in my direct surroundings I don't come across it at all! Thank gd we are all able to decide for ourselves right?! Sending lots of love 😘💓

Absolutely! Social media can definitely give us a skewed idea of how common certain bags are. I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I’ve seen someone carry a Triomphe bag in real live. So I totally get where you are coming from! Sounds like the black Triomphe is an excellent choice for you :) Hope you were able to buy it before the recent Celine price increase happened. xx

Hi lovely Lesley, you are absolutely right about $$$, with how the economy is going it’s hard to spend 12k on a Chanel bag!! And I donno where are we heading?? Ppl’s judgements’ have been got bothered by the economy too:/ so it’s hard to know what’s the best decision “5k one bag or 2.5k for two?”. I know we shouldn’t care for what ppl think but that’s a big part of fashion!! I’m stuck too!!

The economy and uncertainty in terms of where we are heading is somewhat scary. I try to not have other people’s opinions or judgement impact my purchasing decisions. But that may also be because I’m in the lucky position to not be faced with judgement from friends/family to begin with.

I love Celine bag and I think there should just come a color which will talk with u! As for example I have an alma bb, but in red epi leather and only this got me into this bag.

Good point. I feel like I only ever see the black Triomphe on IG. While researching for this video and another video that I have yet to film, I realized the bag comes in a range of different colors.

I have a moynat bag Gabrielle and after owning it for a year, I feel it’s a waste of money because it’s barely fit anything, and I don’t get the joy from wearing it like I do with Chanel and I always yearning for Hermes Kelly

Which size did you get in the Gabrielle? Sorry it today work out for you. I totally get the idea of trying to go with a Gabrielle as an alternative to a Kelly but more often than not, these kind of replacement purchases don’t 100% fulfill the desire for the bag you had wanted in the first place…

Bei mir ist bei der chanel CF und der Celine triomphe sehr ähnlich. Ich denke wenn ich die celine in ein paar Jahren noch mag werde ich sie mir kaufen. Aber zum aktuellen Zeitpunkt ist sie mir auch zu oft auf sozialen Medien unterwegs 😂

Ja, das wäre eine Überlegung. Wobei bei so einer gehypten Tasche dann auch das Risiko besteht, dass sie in ein paar Jahren quasi 2022 schreit. Irgendwie schade. Ist so eine schöne und eigentlich zeitlose Tasche, aber ich kann aktuell echt keine zwei Minuten auf Instagram verbringen ohne an einer Triomphe vorbei zu scrollen😅

From the craftsmanship yes but because it’s so unknown, you don’t get a joy of wearing it, I got tired of it after a year and back to get a Hermes Kelly with I aim for at first.

Thank you for sharing 🤗 I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you. At the end of the day, we have to make sure that bags we spend our hard earned money on being us joy. And if noticed that lesser known brands don’t do that for you, it’s probably best to stick to Chanel, Hermès and the like.
