@@tagelharpalair i just tried using DAD, im right hand so the closest string to me is the low d3. Mine sounds real scratchy compared to yours, where i was bowing is white and my bow string. Btw all horsehair. Any suggestions? Im bit troubled on both playing styles.

Try adding more rosin, or a lighter bow technique. You can also try to touch the strings with the fingerbacks. Easier to get a cleaner sound.
