As far as retired players in the HOF, Jim Thome cards are highly underrated.

@@bobjohnson7294 That is probably a true statement. I have over 300 of his cards, but I am not looking to make money off of them. I just like them for my personal collection. I honestly think that he is one of the most underrated Hall of Fame players ever. Ask someone to name the top Home Run hitters of all time, and he is usually forgotten.

The fact that he was a DH for a good portion of his career was a likely culprit. I'm with you though, guys that hit 600 home runs over the course of a career don't fall off trees.

A guy I really thought about picking up his rookie card last year, because of his consistency mainly, was Jose Ramirez of the Guardians. He's the only one I can think of in this undervalued group that you may have missed. Thanks T-Pott!

As I put in the Spitballin’ comments, I was happy to get on Gerrit Cole cards the last few years based on career accumulation, so winning the Cy Young feels like a key validation benchmark achieved. He’ll be in the ‘Active Best of this Generation’ as Verlander, Scherzer, Kershaw and Greinke depart over the next 2-3 years. After Gerrit, my roughie to join him is Aaron Nola. Age-31 season this year, beginning a 7-year deal. 90 wins, 31.7 WAR, 1582Ks from 1422 IP. He can certainly go hot and cold, but for ‘under the radar’ value, he now has the next 7 years to build a resume. Hopefully his Age 31-33 seasons coming up can mirror that of his teammate’s (Zack Wheeler).

Robert 1st Bowman Chrome autos are a screaming buy. He plays on a bad team, but another monster year is gonna set him up for a big payday to a contender when he becomes a FA. He just hired Scott Boras.

Dever is a no from TPott, means it's a yes for the hobby. Alvarez is a fringe for TPott. Meaning stay away. Robert is a wait and see. Which means load up asap. Lindor is a buy. Which means sell yesterday. Machado is a buy. Which means sell asap. Alonso is a keep an eye on player. Meaning, ignore.

Adam Dunn comp to Alonso is way off base. Pete can field and has gotten better defensively every year. Dunn was an abysmal defender.

Royce Lewis is the real deal. I seen him live when he was in AAA with the St. Paul Saints, and the guy has the "it" factor. Can be like Tatis a few years back. 40/100/.300/30 sb stat line if he plays a full season at the corner with a possible GG, and MVP considerations. Now that Sho is in the NL, it really opens the door the MVP next season. Another nice factor of Royce to take into consideration is his Bowman 1st refractor was in 2017, so it wasn't printed to the moon.
