I am getting one error msg like "the statement "function" Can't be used in the current environment. However the similar statement "function-pool" can be used. "

Hello Shruti - Check for the below points. It might solve your issue. 1) Activate the function group through SE80 transaction code. 2) You have not written the logic between Function and End function - means there is something written after ENDFUNCTION.

This time is internally calculated by the system and it displays on the screen.
