Don't be surprised if this woman's son resents her when he grows up. She was so desperate for a man that she was willing to uproot her child from his own dad, family, school, & friends to prioritize HER thirst for a man. There are often some bitter consequences for being a self-absorbed parent. Before anyone comes at me with the, "he'll be grown by then" cliche, keep in mind that if a parent lives long enough, there will come a time when the parent needs their child JUST AS MUCH as the child once need the parent.

If she were my little sister, I would say, take a break from dating and focus on establishing some roots and focusing on yourself and your son. Don't move to Houston! Running away from issues when we haven't changed is never a good idea. Move to an area where you have a support network, and your son will have the love and attention HE needs. I know it's difficult for some mothers to accept, but when you become a mother without a husband, YOUR CHILD is first. You make decisions and do things based on how it will affect your child. I'm sorry, it doesn't seem fair, but that's what it is. If someone wants to date you, they have to be mature enough to accept that. Having those boundaries will weed out those immature men, or the ones just not right for you. And trust me, the right man will absolutely love and respect that about you. So just relax for awhile, figure out your next move, get settled, get your son settled ( this break up affects him too, even if you don't notice it, this is another man who left him) and make your next move your best move and let love and a good man FIND YOU! Also, getting into a relationship because you don't like being alone or single always ends badly. Work on yourself, build a healthy relationship with your son. Let the right man find a healed version of you

She learned an expensive and heartbreaking lesson. Her story is a cautionary tell for other women. 1. STOP MOVING FOR A MAN IF IT’S NOT A SURE THING! Even if it’s a sure thing (ring, wedding date), do it with eyes wide open, because abu$ers will want to isolate you from family and friends. 2. STOP PUTTING MEN OVER YOUR KIDS. She disrupted her kid’s life over a guy that wasn’t a sure thing (no ring, no wedding date). 3. If you’re going to relocate regardless of the reason, make sure that you have your financial ducks in a row (a job, savings). For her - forget that guy and move forward. Men’s egos get boosted when their exes call them. He’ll start thinking that you’re going to be an easy booty call when he gets lonely and can’t find a girl at 2:00AM. It’s also going to turn off the future guy that may want that happily ever after with you. That dude is in the past. Time to live for the future.

Kendra’s advice to not heal is horrible. This woman is a Mom! A woman who is not healed will most definitely make poor choices in men. Single mothers need to do better! Make smarter decisions for the sake of your child. It’s one thing if your decisions only effect YOU (like Reesa Teesa) but when a child is involved it’s selfish to put a man that high on your priority list that you would uproot your child. I don’t mean to come off harsh! But in situations like this tough love is needed. She’s an attractive woman. focus on you and your child and the right man will come.

I'm going to express an opinion and this is just what I've observed from life and what women and men have told me. My thought about her and some of the men that women come across is because most good men are spoken for or not dating. Some of my best bros are spoken for, married, and have been happy for years. My older brother has been married for about 6 years now. I'm celibate and some of my other bros are playing with women, or just dating.
